Terrible front desk at the end of the journey
Without our worst experience at the end of our stay, it is a decent 5 stars hotel. Clean, nice staff, wonderful chef (s), incrredible location ( in front of the Giza pyramids. Because we had to leave the hotel at midnight, I have been in last the morning to the front desk and I have payed our restaurant note, to be sure. Also, I have give an order to the concierge for 3 packed breakfast ( regarding we did not have them, leaving at midnight). Everithih was OK. We have made the ceck out at 11 pm ( on 17 March), with no problem. When I have asked about our packed breakfasts, they have asked me for 20 USD. I have to say that we had payed bed and breakfast rooms. I have payed the money, bud we did not received the Breckfast. They have said us to wait, regarding we had a plain to catch ( the las one, regarding the Coronavirus). Maybe, they considered it a kind of bakshees. It is not about only the money we have lost, but it was a very unpleasant departure from a place where we have been very happy with all the staff.
December Cairo visit
One of the most beat up properties that i have ever stayed at. The check in was chaotic and the rooms need a serious Upgrade. The restrooms were extremely dirty Even the restaurant food was abysmally bland .. all in all a very bad experience. Would have expected much more from Marriott
Fantastic stay at Le Meridien
We spent 3 days at Le Meridien. The hotel is a beautiful property with nice amenities. The room was clean and comfortable. The staff - doorman, security, reception, restaurant staff and hose keeping were excellent. I would like to give a shout out to the young man, Mohamed Redu, who always made sure our room had everything we needed. He just went the extra mile to make sure we had a great stay at Le Meridien. Mohamed was just one of the many shining stars at the hotel.
Wake up with the Pyramids at your window
It’s a superb hotel. Clean. Great large delicious breakfast. Rooms are large enough with comfortable bathrooms. It has a spa with steam rooms and jacuzzi hot tubs to take away the sand and relax. Will stay there again. Wonderful!
Stayed at the hotel both upon arrival and prior to our departure from Cairo for a total of 7 nights. The rooms we were provided were both clean and quiet. They were on the far side of the pool but overlooking the pool area. Staff throughout the hotel were excellent. Friendly, welcoming & helpful. Unfortunately we required the services of a doctor who attended the hotel, examined & supplied medications. Hotel set everything in motion for us. No hesitation in receiving treatment after meeting the physician & seeing how well equipped he was. Payment in cash in US dollars. Hotel is within walking distance of the Giza Pyramids & suited our needs as a hub for our activities in Cairo. Security at the hotel was excellent and there was a 24/7 police presence outside the hotel grounds. Did not make use of the pool due to the season but did try out the spa which was spotless. The only minor point was that on a couple of occasions during the morning buffet staff could not keep up with the demand of bussing tables & ensuring the buffet lines were stocked. The inevitable demands of too many people leaving on too many tours at the same time.
