A very pleasant stay
We stayed there for one night and the staff were very professional and welcoming. The food was tasty and even the coffee tasted great. Due to the reservation staff I made the reservation because of their professionalism and good attitude. Thanks for having us.
You better not to visit this resort if you are European
You gonna face: > negotiation with trying to convince you that every thing is ok instead of giving the guest what he needs > no service passion > they get apply the get me right standard because they are not good listeners > they never give you alternative solution ( you better ask them ) Am outsider guest went to buy cookies on the last Friday on September11 st. I got my order on Monday on September 14 Th. The cookies were so delicious . The quality is fabulous. The presentation is amazing. I got my request as it was Requested. The problem when I came back to ask for a smaller bag and smaller take away box because I can't walk in the street with the bigger ones. I got a bizarr answer from Abanoub the server there ( this is our availability for the moment ) instead of adapting himself to the guest's mood and situation ( no attention on what I said ) Some charge came to me, after asking for it. He was holding his Name Tag in his and hided it from me and didn't introduce himself.is it a kind of respect ? Is it a four-season standard to hide your Name tag !! and then i got the same answer with negotiation and conveniences that the their stocks are empty for the moment because of the Country conditions and it's a cost for them to fulfill their stock. Cost is much better for them than the guest satisfaction!! At the end he told me what can do for you now ? Any thing you gonna say I gonna do it for you instead of adapting his to the guest's mood and situation and give him alternative solution without asking for alternative solution. Am guest not a server to ask them for giving alternative solution. Where is the service passion though !! Is it equal to all the quests or the outsider guests only !! Is it discrimination?
I had a very pleasant stay, with kudos to the excellent housekeeping, concierge (particularly Yara), and the F&B outlets (Aura, Le Gourmandise, Char Bar and Tea Lounge for breakfast). My room was upgraded upon check in and was glad that my request for a view of the Nile was accommodated. Also, the extra security precautions taken at the property were appreciated. However, compared to my previous stays at FS Buenos Aires, Istanbul Bosphorous, and Marrakech, which were all flawless, there is a little bit of inconsistency and polish. For example, I left the room service tray outside my room one evening and it was still there when I woke up the next morning. The check out was disappointing as the person I was dealing with just walked away while he was processing my check out without letting me know what happened. I did receive a note from the hotel to thank me for filling out the survey and I responded with the same comments I noted above more than a month ago, and to this day, I have not received an acknowledgement.
Wonderful treat for a traveler!
The First Residence is elegant, the Service top notch and our room was spacious and spotless. It did include one of our priority items -- TWO good reading chairs! And, of course, there was a view of the Nile. Excellent in every way, including the fabulous flower arrangements in the lobby and the breakfast boxes when we had to leave for a flight at a dreadfully early hour. Food in the restaurants was very good, and they have a lovely pool, though we didn't get to try it. We were with a tour group, but treated like royalty.
Excellent hotel from a service standpoint. We did have a bit of a hassle after check in about leaving a credit card on file. They could not seem to get the machine to work despite trying several times. The area is not great, but there are police on the street. The room was beautiful, a bit shabby bit it is Egypt and expectations are lower than in Europe or the US. We at in the Aura restaurant once and then the next door mall and both meals were good. The breakfast was amazing, I only wish that we had not had such an early flight the departing morning and missed it for that day. I would definitely stay here if I were in Cairo again.
