Casa Gangotena serves up an exciting mix of modern and traditional Andean cuisine, made from fine local ingredients. Once the Gangotena family's ballroom, The Crimson Room has been renovated into an intimate space for romantic dinners or small celebrations, with room for up to 25 people. The Garden is a homely retreat away from the buzz of the city, full of native trees and flowers — listen to the soothing sound of the stone fountain and enjoy a cold beer or cup of tea here. Head up to the panoramic Rooftop Terrace for sweeping views over Quito (look out for the handful of iconic churches including Santa Clara and the neo-Gothic Basilica), while enjoying a vintage wine or cool cocktail.

Be sure to enjoy a spot of Café Quiteño, Quito's equivalent to British Afternoon Tea which is served at the tables or sofas of the orchid-dotted patio. You can enjoy a great range of premium Ecuadorian coffees, teas, sandwiches and pastries. And don't miss the hotel's Sunday Brunch, including everything from corviche and tigrillo to bacon and pancakes, plus tropical juices and unlimited sangrias (make sure you book in advance as spaces fill up quickly).
