Family Half-Term Break at the Palace
Our family of 4 (including 3 year old and 17 month old toddler) stayed at this hotel in October 2019 for 5 nights in Palace Superior Deluxe room. The hotel is situated about 30 minutes from Dubai International Airport On arrival at the hotel, we were met by concierge who organised our luggage to be transferred to the room, and proceeded to take us to the lobby area where were were checked-in. When we arrived to our room, it was nicely set up with a crib and rollaway, which we asked to be removed. We had lovely views of the gardens. The hotel itself is rather large, but you never got the sense that that it was a large hotel, except when you went down to the pool and beach areas, which were crowded. The beach is nice, and I would ordinarily have highly recommended the beach area and its cabanas as a relaxing spot, if you disregard the building and the obstructed views of a new resort being built between the One&Only Royal Mirage and the One&Only the Palm. The hotel is located close to Mall of Emirates, and Atlantis Aquaventure Park, where guests benefit from a free transfer to the water park, which is a great benefit. We mainly used taxis to transport us around to other attractions such as Dubai Mall and Downtown Dubai which are between 20 to 30 minutes away. Due to having such young children, we mainly enjoyed room service in the evenings, and breakfast at Olives, which was fine although quite limited in its offering. Maybe had we been able to enjoy the many restaurants available, we would have another perspective of the food. I have to say the staff were wonderful, and went above and beyond in entertaining our littles, and their interaction with us, where I felt the service was lacking was room service, we always had to call for our room to be cleaned, and there wasn’t a turn down service which I thought was quite unusual for a 5* hotel. Important bits, good WIFI, kettle in room as opposed to Nespresso for the coffee lovers, and wonderful staff, slight let downs was the food quality and room service; overall a nice hotel but we didn’t really get that luxury feeling. Should we return to Dubai again, we will most likely stay somewhere closer to downtown at a newer hotel. We would rate the One&Only Royal Mirage The Palace a 7/10.
Another outstanding stay!
This was our third visit to the One & Only Mirage in Dubai, and again it did not disappoint. This is a fabulous hotel. We have been fortunate to travel a great deal, and have stayed in some beautiful hotels... but this is by far our favourite. There are many wonderful and first rate hotels in Dubai, but the One & Only Mirage is a cut above the rest. The location and the facilities are of course first rate, as are the suites and the restaurants.. but what really makes the hotel is its staff. They are incredible! We were so well cared for at all times, and my friend and I were spoilt by them as we lounged for a week by the pool. Amal, Akhil and the pool staff are all amazing - kind, courteous and helpful in every way. We are hoping to persuade the men to take us back next year, for our fourth visit. I couldn’t recommend it enough.

Our 16th visit and still a memorable experience in every respect. Attention to detail and personal service in the Gold Club Room is second to none. Always make us feel special and appreciated and one of the One and Only family. The hotel continues to evolve but never loses its Arabian charm. Where else can you relax on 1km of private beach, have the choice of 7 first rate restaurants situated in 3 hotels set in beautifully manicured gardens? We again thank the Gold Club Room management and staff for being so attentive and making our stay once again one to cherish and remember. The newly rebranded Celebrities fine dining experience is something everyone should treat themselves to whether for a special occasion or just to sample a fine menu in a luxury setting. Will be back next year for Expo 2020 Always special, always exceeding expectations and always friendly personal customer service. That’s the the One and Only experience. True 5 star service and quality
This was our first visit to the One & Only Mirage Palace and certainly won't be the last. Dubai is a challenging and highly competitive environment competing for tourism. As a result the expectations tends to be extremely high. The Palace at One and Only meets and exceeds these expectations. Service and staff are exceptional throughout and thoroughly professional across the entire complex. From the initial arrival and greeting through to checkout everything was handled smoothly without issue. There is a rare feeling of genuine hospitality and caring which quite often doesn't exist in other countries and establishments. The entire complex offers a wide range of high quality food options, we really didn't need to leave the hotel. Quality of the food was extremely good at all restaurants, providing excellent value for money and service. I know Celebrities has changed recently but we really enjoyed the new 6/9 course tasting menu. It offered a Michelin style tasting menu at a fraction of the cost, course sizes were well judged and the food, fresh and not overly rich that left you feeling uncomfortable. Service was a perfect complement with well chosen wine pairings and friendly, attentive staff. The buildings and grounds are impeccably maintained. The One and Only appear to incrementally repair elements of the hotel, it looks nothing like a 20 year old hotel. The atmosphere is calm, tranquil, sophisticated with a historical sense of place entirely in keeping with the region. Every element from the rooms, corridors, bars, restaurants, pool areas, gardens are maintained to such a high standard. A special mention to the Gold Club lounge staff as well who's service was amazing throughout. You truly made our holiday special. I know Dubai is constantly changing and competitive, so I understand that change is inevitable, but please do not change too much, you are so near perfect.
Great stay, even better staff.
Loved our 5 night stay, have been to quite a few Duabi hotels and this is up there with the best. What made it better was the staff, all are fantastic and always happy to help. However, I must mention Vishnu, his service was superb, always smiling and helped us to book resturants and general advise. He is a credit to the hotel.
