A dream comes true!
From our point of view: One of the best hotels in the world! Professional guest services, top cuisine and gourmet restaurants, motivated and excellent trained staff which read all wishes from the eyes before you even think of it. Luxurious and generous rooms - we felt like in our second home and will return for sure!
We choosed one & only for our anniversary and it was a great choice. Since our arrival we knew it was a great choice. The welcoming was fantastic and the chick in was smooth. The room is spacious and they left us with nice refreshments and a bice note from the managment congratulating us from our special occasion. The pool is amazing and the breakfast was amazing. The service is top notch and the check out was smooth as well. The duty manager escorted us to the car which was a nice gesture. I highly recommend this hotel and definitely will be back
A Very Special Place
We have stayed at a number of Dubai hotels over the past 15 years. About 6 years ago we decided to splash out and treat ourselves to a holiday at One & Only the Palm. That holiday was so special we now won’t stay at any other Dubai hotel and have enjoyed another 2 perfect holidays here in 2019 - making 6 stays here so far. From the moment we arrive we feel like we’ve come home. The building, gardens & surroundings are beautiful (a special mention required here to the bunnies). The food & restaurant service in all 3 restaurants is exceptional - can’t possibly pick a favourite! The walk over to 101 is lovely & the views, especially at night, are splendid. Our rooms have all been perfection - large, spotlessly clean, comfortable beds with an amazing bathroom & toiletries. The location at the end of the palm is ideal for us, it is quiet & peaceful yet a short & enjoyable boat trip across to the sister hotel on Jumeirah Beach. The pools, beach & gym (special mention to the amazing Kumar) are all perfect - it never feels crowded at this hotel. Finally, the most special aspect of this hotel is the staff. Without exception they are all wonderful. We love seeing familiar faces year after year, they know us by name and have a special knack of knowing what we want before we’ve even realised it ourselves. The farewell by the Management team is a lovely touch. We’ve already booked to return in June 2020 & are counting down the days til we return. Karen & Andrew
First Class with a few niggles
Stayed for 6 nights. Pros: Staff are very friendly, polite and attentive. Our Butler Russel couldn’t have been more helpful 24/7. Facilities are great - pool, gym, spa etc. Free yoga! Most magically - 35 bunnies live in the gardens!!! Rooms are beautifully appointed and spacious. Half board makes prices more reasonable. It was quiet but compound is so spacious that I doubt it could feel busy/crowded. Mix of incredible pool and beach front is lovely. Marina views of Dubai Skyline at night. Cons: We felt the pool side service wasn’t great. Only place staff seemed a bit thin. Hard to get drinks, perhaps a buzzer system? Food - good/adequate but not great for this level of hotel. Breakfast is an excellent spread. Personally I thought the Arabic Buffet night was better than the food from any of the restaurant menus. Zest in particular lacks something. Desserts in all restaurants poor. Spa treatments were ok but expensive. Cultural need to keep males/females separate was frustrating. Some things had to be discovered rather than pointed out - free canapés with lobby bar drinks, buggy rides from rooms to 101 @ the marina, complimentary fitness classes etc.
This is now our forth visit in 4 years which speaks volumes. We are welcomed back each year as family and it truly is like coming home, the service received is exceptional, always addressing you by name and after the first day knowing your requirements at meal times. We choose to have room service for lunch and eat by our pool and Raghu the in room dining manager made this a marvellous and personal experience. Our butler Noushad organised an ice bucket in our room at 10 am and 2 pm and when this was missed one day we were presented with a platter of fruit by way of an apology, he also took care of all our requests very promptly and efficiently. A special mention to the guys who serviced our rooms who are usually overlooked, both Manik and Adrash carried out their duties in a professional and humble manner. Both Mr Smarrella (General Manager) and Mr Moorthy (Resident Manager) hospitality is unprecedented. We are now organising our fifth visit for next year.
