Service so bad we checked out a day earlier
As a long time patron of Jumeirah properties my experiences has always been spectacular whether as a guest staying at one of their properties or visiting their many spas or restaurants. Until now. Our two day villa stay at Dar Al Masraf had to be cut short due to the fabulously dismal service we received. We faced nothing but issues from the time we checked in. Information was lacking, some of the staff was less than professional and the butler for the villa for anything but available. Instead of a relaxing staycation, we left hassled and utterly disappointed, having spent a great part of our time making calls and chasing staff. Some specifics: - check in at the main reception was a complete mess as we were asked to proceed to the buggy without being given the villa number. - check in at the villa reception was unprofessional and less than warm due to the tone and manner of the butler. - amenities asked for were not provided - access to breakfast at Jumeirah Al Naseem was denied as the restaurant was full with the hotels own guests. This was a provision of our room rate and such an eventuality was not communicated. - On call butler service line was unanswered for hours on end. The only way to reach them was by calling the security and emergency line at 10pm. - Butler allocated to the villa was barely present on site. - Room unmade till 1130am despite being out of the villa from 830am
Amazing luxury stay
It was not our first time here, luxury at it's best, got an upgrade at checkin. Friendly and professional staff, housekeeping was perfect, facility was very well maintained, dine-around option a highlight. Unfortunately we missed some things compared to our last stay: No champaign at the happy hour in the majilis, no more possibility to dine at the Burj al Arab in the dine around program, limited breakfast selection at our favorite beachfront breakfast restaurant. Nevertheless an amazing luxury stay!
Understated luxury. The best there is in Dubai.
This was our fourth visit to Dar Al Masyaf so I am probably slightly biased however. Having visited other hotels in Dubai, if you are looking for the best, book Dar Al Masyaf. The setting. The service but most of all, the staff. DAM sets the standards. You will not be disappointed.
If you’re looking for perfection, you’ve found it.
I had never been to Dubai or this part of the world before but my wife and I were advised to go here for our honeymoon and so we did. This place is truly perfection, the service is impeccable the location is incredible. You feel like you are in another world, you want for nothing, everyone is friendly and there is so much to do. We spent 5 days here and it felt like 2 weeks, we’re already planning our next trip. It’s is utterly amazing and anyone who asks me if they should go my answer without a second thought would be YES!!
We have just returned from a 6 night stay at Dar Al Masyaf with friends. Six of us had rooms in Villa 19 where we were looked after by Emmanuel. He was fantastic! So friendly and helpful and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was spacious, comfortable and spotlessly clean, thank you so much to the villa housekeeping team. Everything from the beach to the pools and restaurants was absolutely first class and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend a holiday here. Special mention to the staff in the French Riviera where we enjoyed breakfast each morning. We ate in a different restaurant every evening and they were all of a very high standard. My particular favourite was Kato. The service we experienced was exceptional and we hope to return very soon.
