Puente Romano Beach Resort

Where Nobu Marbella meets a Six Senses spa

Scintillating restaurants, shimmering pools and sophisticated vibes makes this lifestyle resort one of Marbella’s finest.

Styled as a white-washed village and with an ancient Roman bridge, Puente Romano feels like a delightful step back in time. But it catapults you into the contemporary with magazine-worthy suites and 20 restaurants and bars including a slick Nobu, decadent Monkey Club and jungle hideaway La Selva. With pools, paddleboarding, professional tennis coaching and tots to teens clubs, there's something for everyone.

Puente Romano has always been known for its dining scene, and it remains as fresh, diverse and inviting as ever. Among its 20 restaurants and bars there are hip little hideaways surrounded by greenery where you can graze on Lebanese mezze or the like, stylish beachside venues for organic smoothies or fresh-from-the-grill seafood, and even an outpost of super-trendy Nobu. And while Dani García may have closed his three-Michelin-starred restaurant in 2019, his two more informal eateries get an appreciative nod from the gourmet guide’s reviewers.

Nobu With its fusion of Japanese and Peruvian flavours, Nobu Matsuhisa’s restaurant is one of Marbella's most popular dining venues.

Chiringuito Puente Romano Located at the Beach Club, stylish Chiringuito Puente Romano has been refashioned by Fendi. Here you will find plenty of healthy options including wellness lattes and vitamin-infused smoothies. It’s also a great place for watching sunsets with the in-house DJ creating the atmosphere.

La Plaza The focal point of the resort, La Plaza is at the centre of the bars and restaurants where cocktails are served alongside regular entertainment.

Sea Grill Watch the chefs grill fresh seafood over charcoal fire or dip into a bowl of paella from the sea view terraces.

COYA Marbella Experience the adventurous dishes at COYA where Peruvian dishes have been fused with Spanish, Japanese and Chinese cooking methods.

Celicioso Marbella's first gluten-free restaurant serving artisan beers, detox juices and wheat-free cup cakes.

Cipriani Surrounded by tropical gardens, Cipriani is the place for authentic Italian cuisine.

Jardins Sur Mer The venue for Japanese fine-dining with plenty of sushi options.

Monkey Club Open for dinner, Monkey Club offers a range of international dishes in a stylish setting.

Leña Leña is the resort's newest restaurant offering a range of grills including charcoal-grilled tenderloins, meat skewers and salmon loins.

Bibo Described as 'tapas with a twist' Bibo offers a varied menu including meat, fish, pasta and raw foods.

Lagom! Café Frothy coffees and delicious cakes and pastries are served at Lagom! located at the tennis club.

La Selva Enjoy drinks and snacks in the jungle-like setting of La Selva.

Rachel's Every dish at this well being restaurant is made using fresh ingredients.

Thai Gallery Authentic Thai cuisine is served here for dinner.

Cheat The all-day diner and cocktail bar located poolside.

SupperClub Meet fellow guests on the long tables in this Mediterranean-style diner. Entertainment and DJ sets add to the party atmosphere.

La Suite La Suite is one of Marbella's trendiest clubs where you can sip on Champagne before heading onto the dance floor.

It's hard to pick a favourite due to the sheer variety of dining options that makes Puente Romano stand out from the rest.

What's included

Breakfast at Sea Grill Restaurant.

Serenity comes as standard at the Six Senses Spa, a place you’ll want to return to again and again. Facilities include a hydrotherapy suite, herbal steam room, sauna, hammam and nine treatment rooms - three of them overlooking the sea - plus several places to relax afterwards. Many of the massages and rituals use locally sourced natural ingredients such as sea salt and mountain herbs. An appealing new addition to the spa is the massage cabin on the beach, where you can relax to the sound of the waves.

Learn the art of wine pairing with the sommelier, try a master class in Japanese cuisine at Nobu or take a dance lesson in flamenco. Cycle the promenade, try paddle tennis or hike through the Juanar Forest and olive groves.

Along the beach promenade you will find paddleboarding, Jet Skiing, sailing and water bicycles or you may prefer to relax at the resort's swimming pool.

Puente Romano Beach Resort has eliminated single-use plastic straws, plates and cups and offers water dispensers for refilling your bottle. All rooms are double-glazed and LED lighting is used in most areas. Preference is given to organic and locally sourced food and the hotel offsets a portion of their carbon footprint.

With plenty of child-friendly activities on offer every day - from paddleboarding (with or without a guide) to a private fun yoga class on the beach - it’s no surprise that Puente Romano appeals to families. There’s a dedicated Kids’ Club during the school holidays, and you can even arrange private tutors for post-lockdown catch-up sessions. In addition, some of the rooms can be interconnected to create a self-contained family space, and there are also three villas for larger groups.

Puente Romano has agreements with 15 golf clubs along the Costa del Sol and private lessons can be arranged at the Marbella Club Hotel Golf Resort.
