Imagine beginning your day with tea, coffee or fruit juice delivered to your room as you watch the sun rise over the Annapurna mountains, possibly a private yoga session and then breakfast served as and when you please. At this beautiful hilltop retreat these relaxed mornings set you up perfectly for a day of trekking along mountain trails, bird-watching trips, sightseeing or shopping in Pokhara, or perhaps just treating yourself to an in-room Ayurvedic treatment.

Those looking for an active break can join a number of guided treks, from short walks from the lodge that take you through nearby forests and villages to more strenuous hikes of three to seven hours, some of which require a transfer to the trail head (payable locally). At the end of the day you can gather round the fire in the main lodge with a coffee, tea or whiskey.

Each day breakfast, which includes freshly-baked bread and eggs cooked to order, is served in the main lodge. On warmer days you can enjoy mountain views with the first meal of the day. For lunch a selection of light meals is provided alongside a buffet of traditional local dishes while dinner is a three-course affair with a mix of Nepalese and western dishes. The rooms, which are simple in style with local artwork and furnishings, are located in stone cottages centred on the main lodge.
