We were blown away by this property! Wheras we fould the area in general not that attractive, the hotel is a destination by itself. It looks like a Ritz Carlton somewhere in Florida (god knows why they choose this spanish style for a hotel on Cyprus), but it surpasses a U. S. Ritz-Carlton in every respect. The staff, the rooms, the dining: everything was top notch. You could really tell, that every member of staff enjoyed working there. Best thing was the breakfast buffet: seldom if ever have we encountered such a variety of high quality, in many cases local, delicacies! It was a foodie's dream. Would love to come back in warmer months to enjoy the gorgeous outside pool area.
Stayed here in May 2019. Going back this May as was so good
Great hotel. Good Location. Great facilities. Food was really really good and plenty of variety. Could not fault anything. Plenty of space around the numerous swimming pool areas. Large gardens. The room we had was spacious, clean and quiet. The staff were so freindly and really helpful. Fantastic garden areas Will be returning.
This hotel is magnificent. All the areas are very stylish. The room was very comfortable and spacious with a nice balcony. Everything was super clean and all the employees were great. We had the best of time and we are definitely going back.
Loud rooms, nice facilities
We stayed with a baby. Every evening from 9PM there was a gig at the lobby and the music was loud as if the concert was in our bathroom. We asked the staff not to call us in the evening still they called. Not sure why they accommodated us in such room knowing in advance we are travelling with the baby. The breakfast was good, the facilities are nice.
Super grounds and walks around the hotel
The Elysium Hotel in Paphos, Cyprus is perhaps the best hotel in the area with spectacular authentically Cypriot, maintained grounds and good dining options; the room although small was comfortable and reasonably appointed. Pool attendants need to be more engaging and helpful with the guests, they like to stand around by the towels hut and chat rather than help guests. Also waiting staff need to regularly circulate the sun lounging areas to get drinks orders –spent most of my time trying to catch their eye for service. This is a particular pet hate of mine the world over- external training needed Breakfast had plenty of good choice and the waiting staffs were attentive, although it did get noisy at breakfast on occasions with the theatre of the chef at the egg station, breakfast should be a calm relaxing affair rather than a frantic grab for food at the buffet and excessive noise. I liked the Cypriot themed restaurant-Meditenaneo which we went to on our first night. The Hotel is nicely situated with long coastal walks nearby and up to the lighthouse. I did think the lobby was a little dated and check in was tiresome with elderly staff as bell boys this needs to be changed with fresh young blood that were not so hungry for the tip at a drop of a hat- it was like stepping back in time with these old retainers. Room lacked wow factor with poor choice of washroom amenities seemed rather cheap-had to ask for flowers and fruit for room. Although we had a deluxe room –view was not great and I did feel that the choice of room we were given did face out to a large area of parched land rather than a sea view –given we arrive at night, tired I did not have the energy to ask to change or complain. We had a pleasant stay for 4 nights –probably overpriced for what is on the market in other parts of the world. Would have liked the GM Christos Papamiltiadous to have reached out to us during our stay as is customary in Five star properties. Top tip chose your room very carefully to get the best view and don’t be afraid to ask if something is missing from your holiday experience.
