If there is an issue after midnight, there will be no one to help you and you will be ignored by management the next day
There is no staff staying at the hotel after 12 AM which is ridiculous. What if there is an emergency and need someone? You call the reception only to be told the matter will be handled the next morning since no one is there. Such was a case during our stay when a drunk group of tenants was partying loudly at 4 AM. Loud music, shouting and screaming in the middle of a peaceful village. The hotel staff already left the hotel so no one was there to tell them to stop and they went on, keeping everyone up. During breakfast the next day, we asked to talk to the manager of the hotel who was in his office. He ignored us twice and didn't come out to even acknowledge the issue. Save your money and go to 5-star hotels who will charge you less and take better care of you while there.
A wonderful location for a hotel, and the use of different houses in the village for the rooms is an inspired one. The rooms are very comfortable and the housekeeping staff were attentive and friendly. The breakfasts are very good, with lots of choice, and omelettes etc are available on request. The hotel’s cafe at the top of the village is also very good. A pool would be a welcome addition to the facilities in warmer weather!
The area & scenery was incredible. Fantastic for walks. Our room was adequate/small & split levels. Wasn’t expecting the split level. V.little wardrobe space & no draws if there was, small pokey & dusty. Bathroom sink, water can spill out on to the floor. Not a lot of space to get ready. The restaurant food was good not great. Breakfast was lovely & the area was good. Spa was incredible that is a must to do whilst there.
We have visited specific hotel/guest house for first time. It is really very impressive how the rooms are located in the village as there are rooms all over the village. Same the restaurants and rest facilities of the hotel are located all over the village and you need to discover them having in hand the given map. Our room (family suite) was really very comfortable with big + the bedrooms veranda that had amazing view to the mountain, to the village and to the monastery. Breakfast was very good with many options and a bit of Cyprus tradition. Spa also is offering many options of relaxation and for sure worth take woods from the hotel and enjoy the fireplace in your room as we have done.
Started badly but improved!
We came here for 3 nights and decided to treat ourselves so we booked the superior suite. Our first night at the suite was terrible as we had experienced heating problems and the mattress was twisted , all of which resulted in a sleepless night. Not quite what you would expect from a high class hotel and an expensive room. The next morning, after getting the hotel manager involved we were moved to another suite and started enjoying ourselves. It is a unique experience to stay at this hotel ( the rooms are scattered all over the small village). The spa is great! Food options are limited but good ( we tried all the restaurants in the village). All in all a good experience , wish we could have skipped the first night.
