Just returned from the best holiday ever at Capo and Fig Tree Bay. So glad we took the plunge, and did covid test to get away. Hotel staff were amazing and upgraded us to a duplex with Jacuzzi and fantastic sea view. The beach is very quiet, but fills up on weekends with locals. Most restaurants and shops are open following all safety rules. We had such an amazing stay and couldn't have asked for more. Total luxury and relaxation. We have stayed here before and can thoroughly recommend if you are looking to recharge and relax. We hope to come back again next year. If you are considering Cyprus as a getaway don't delay and you can't go wrong with Capo Bay. Thank you to all the staff who made it so memorable; and for the lovely buffet dinner you organised during our stay ♥️😎
Hotel and staff could be better
Just returned from a 2-nights stay at the hotel. Very small parking, underground is full of old things and furnitures - we barely found two empty spaces on our stay generally. The undeground smelled very badly. The porter was very friendly and he ran to take our luggages. Check in experience ok. The room wasn’t ready up until 3pm but it was ok to use hotel’s facilities. The pool area was very confusing - we had the same sunbeds for the whole stay. The pool guy was ironic and not very helpful when we first went and we weren’t sure about where to go. When we left the pool, we tried to walk over the hotel to find another way up to the lobby and suddenly someone was running behind us and called ‘Are you hotel’s guests?’ in a very sarcastic way. We turned around and saw a man in a suit, then we found out he was the Restaurant Manager of the breakfast restaurant. We just rellied positively and then he told us that we need to go on the other way around. He could just easily ask us if we want any help or lost around. The hotel outdoor is public and we could just walk around. The room was ok, nothing special. We got upgraded to a side sea view room. Very clean though and comfortable bed. Breakfast was great - friendly waiters and waitresses. The Restaurant Manager we saw the other day was not very welcoming to us. We were supposed to wear a mask and gloves when we got served at the buffet. That was ok but only gloves were at the beginning of the buffet. That guy told us to go to the reception to get if we haven’t got any masks with us. So I went to the reception and asked for masks, they gave me the masks and after I started walking away the receptionist asked ‘Should I charge your room? It’s €0.70 each’. Didn’t say anything there but as this is part of your new regulations you are supposed to have free masks for your guests to be used at the buffet. Anyway, we paid a lot for our stay and one euro extra could be easily covered by them. Another issue is on our check out, the receptionist issued us the invoice and saw that we got charge another €1 for Sophie Foundation. When we asked about this, the receptionist told us that we put this as extra and if we wanted this to be removed. Note that the invoice was printed before we got asked and been aware about this. Of course we are happy to contribute but again the hotel’s way on how they handled it wasn’t right. The lobby area was nice, but the hotel generally needs a renovation. The location was perfect though and Fig Tree was just below the hotel. Special thanks to the cleaning lady that we found outside our room, she was very kind and friendly and really made our day on how polite and nice she was!
Stayed at Capo Bay Hotel August 16th for 10 nights. It was OK but would say it doesn’t rank as a 5 star hotel as some travel company’s state. The hotel is more of an average 4 star, mainly due to the decor in the rooms which is dated. Would have given this a trip advisor 3 1/2 but couldn’t so went for 4. The rooms are carpeted which reduces the feeling of cleanliness. Air con not working on arrival so had to move rooms and back again the next day, which was an inconvenience with no compensation. They then charged us €5 to bring a couple of bowls to the room for my little boys breakfast. Having stayed in other hotels in Cyprus such as Nissi Blu and King Jason, which are new hotels; I feel we compared to these. Capo Bay wasn’t cheap in comparison. Breakfast was average. Positives were that Pool was lovely and clean, bar food excellent, beds so so comfortable, room was spacious, and if you are wanting a prime position for Protaras Fig tree bay then Capo Bay would be your hotel.
Very clean, very professional, very covid safe hotel. Excellent breakfast. Modern rooms. Top air conditioning, top location.Loved the system of being given, upon arrival, the same sun beds for the whole stay. No fuss no worries. Thank you Capo Bay team for the amazing service and hospitality. See you soon!Room 244 P.S: The rose besides the sink looked so sweet.. as sweet as the chocolate treats.
