A new luxe hotel on Limassol’s beautiful coast with exceptional dining venues.
Brought to you by the same group as the exquisite Elysium in Paphos, the AMARA is one of Limassol’s most exclusive addresses for in-the-know travellers. It’s a must visit for foodies – two Michelin-star chefs have restaurants within the resort. With first-class restaurants all around the world, Nobu Matsuhisa hardly needs an introduction; the hotel’s headline restaurant, Matsuhisa Limassol, will be his first in south-eastern Europe. The Lombardy-born, London-based chef, Giorgio Locatelli, will also brings his award-winning cuisine to the AMARA at Ristorante Locatelli. Two further dining venues include the al fresco waterfront Armyra by Papaioannou, where delicious and fresh seafood dishes are served, and The Dining Room, a classy space where Cypriot specialities are served.
The AMARA Spa is everything you would expect of a Mediterranean spa and more. Alongside the treatment rooms, there's a selection of humid, dry, hot, warm and cold ‘ariums’ that create a spa circuit inspired by Roman baths. Follow your treatment or circuit with a swim in the indoor or outdoor pools or a soak in the Banya bath. There is also a nutritionist on hand who can create a well-being meal plan. While you cast away your tensions, your children will be making new friends and trying out fun and (subtly) educational activities at the AMARA’s kids’ club.
Reflecting the design of the hotel, the style of the spacious rooms, suites and bungalows is light, fresh and cool. They've used natural tones, marble features and furnishings and statement artwork on the walls. Every room has sea views and state-of-the-art technology: think smart televisions, wirelessly controlled mood lighting and panels throughout the room which control television volume, the curtains and the temperature of the rooms at the touch of a button. Any room or suite you choose is going to be a good choice, but we highly recommend one with a pool on the terrace; a couple of our favourites are the Rooftop Duplex Suite and the Deluxe Suites which have either one or two bedrooms.
On the eastern outskirts of Limassol, a short distance from the ancient ruins of Amathus
