We are regular guests of this hotel for years because we enjoy all the amenities Bellevue and Čikat do offer. However, this year was special due to the fact that Kids club was amazing! Teacher Lina brought so many new activities, new experiences and great fun! Kids were thrilled to go to a Club more than to the beach, it was so nice to have place for fun during the peak of the sun. Hope to see teachers Lina and Tea teat again next year!
Gets everything right!
I enjoyed my first stay here so much that I came back later in the summer. This hotel is truly a special place. The design from the public areas to the rooms is immaculate. The rooms all feature a high degree of integrated tech that not only functioned as designed but actually did enhance our stay (a rarity in 2021) The staff here are beyond attentive and do everything in their power to make you feel welcome. The beach area is truly a special place and enjoying a cocktail looking out into the bay is an unbelievably peaceful experience any time of day. The only thing I wish is that they introduce hot food in the beach area. Other than that no complaints. Make no mistake you will pay 5-star prices here but it is worth every penny. while the dining at the hotel is top-notch make sure to check out the surrounding area as there is a variety of excellent dining options. The hotel's tennis center features the nicest setting for courts I have ever seen and the instruction is top quality.
I definitely recommend the hotel for a good rest. It is located in a picturesque place. The service is really great! I'd like to highlight a professional service of concierge service and especially Sarah! She answered patiently all of my questions regarding the type of transfer, helped to organise a transfer between mainland and an island, everything was organized perfectly. Also she helped me to find the best kind of transfer and gave a detailed information about it. People make the hotel great! Thank you a lot for your job and assistance!
Not worth of money - bad service and management
This was our third summer in Bellevue and most probably the last one. Once an oasis of luxury and service and now just a small glance of it. Service and food quality reminded us of 3 star hotels. Hotel stuff was impolite, unprofessional and obviously totally unsatisfied with current employer and all this negative was transferred and communicated to the guests. Hotel is also badly understaffed. To order a simply food anywhere in the hotel was an adventure that lasted for half an hour not counting another hour and more to receive it. All this for a high price. First answer what you get on some request is negative and not in manner of a five star hotel. Restaurants in the bay are managed from this hotel chain and mostly overpriced and not delivering quality you are promised. Just to reserve a table was an adventure that lasted for days. Reception mostly couldn’t manage to reserve a table and restaurant didn’t pick up their phones. Due to the loud private event (wedding) in the hotel for two days they closed the hotel bar, halls and parts of hotel without any announcement like all guests staying doesn’t matter. This was 2 days from our 7 days stay. We couldn’t use hotels facilities we paid for and we received very unprofessional letter informing us there will be event (two letters in two days). The most important information in this letter is that we are in a one of a kind luxury hotel with extraordinary service. Five star hotel with extraordinary service would open beach bar in this nights (it was also full moon atmosphere for a theme evening) and make special price cocktails and drinks with dj for hotel guests (additional revenue) instead we all found closed bar for hotel guests but not for the event. Many of guests complained and found it very uncomfortable. Feedback on the reception was very cold and always unhelpful. Amateurs. It gets better. We witnessed how hotel security was rudely chasing away a child playing nicely hotel piano in the empty lobby and just day before there was a loud event till early hours. Unbelievable to treat guests like this. This family was in state of shock. Internet didn’t function in the rooms and other places in the hotel (answer was there are many guests in the hotel). Shower was leaking all the time and they couldn’t fix it so we had a lots of towels in the floor. Many of the hotel guests went to a public beach grill place Kaktus that had more hospitality manners and kindness as any of hotel facilities. Maybe this was the place to send F&B manager to teach about friendly smile and guest management. After significant price increase of the hotel in this year they implemented additional service charge that is obviously not shared with the employees. Simple fact is: there is no professional management behind and no guest orientated service. We never saw or spoke to any of hotel management as it normal in luxury hotels. Nobody ask us how did we like the stay. Pay and leave ASAP manner. Not even beautiful bay of Cikat, sea and nature can reimburse this disappointment. There are so many beautiful places in Croatia and five stars hotel worth of money and Bellevue is for sure not one of them.
The first slip, hoping to be the only one
We have been regular guests for 6 years. I wrote an opinion about the hotel in 2016 when I was really fascinated by the helpfulness, kindness, knowledge, cleanless and combination of nature and design. This time, however, we experienced a slip for the first time. I probably wouldn't have noticed this if everything hadn't been close to perfection in the past 5 years. The hotel organised celebrity marriage with a 2 days celebration and everything that goes along with it. The guests of the hotel felt this because the service was not near the level of the hotel in the last 5 years. The key man who organized this event put the hotel guests aside and had the focus only on the event most of the time for two days. Most of the experienced staff was busy with the event and the hotel guests received a significantly lower level of service quality. We will come again because we have wonderful memories and we believe that this will not happen again. However, I would expect a hotel of this level and reputation (and the price) to inform guests of all the details that will be handicapped in hotel upfront at the time of booking (this should be stated exactly on the voucher), and to adjust the price accordingly for those nights. The staff tried their best to fill in the gaps of the missing colegues who were busy with the wedding, they were smiling, there really is nothing to comment on, but they could not replace gap in knowlege of colegues busy with the event. GM was not able to cope with this. I had a couple of short chats with guests who were for the first time and everyone was disappointed which will probably result in negative posts on social media. Completely understandable. My advice to GM - give all guests who were here during the wedding period this weekend a 20% cash back redeemable on their next visit to the hotel with a sincere apology. And plan things next time in manner as should be in hotel with impeccable reputation. A small slip can be either just a slip or start of a big avalanche. At the end I wish all best to married couple!
