Arenal Manoa & Hot Springs

A sprawling resort with breathtaking views of Arenal Volcano.

The mighty Arenal Volcano dominates the skyline from every angle at this resort. Whether you’re relaxing in the hot or cold spring pools, dining at the restaurant or relaxing on your terrace, you can enjoy magnificent views of this iconic cone-shaped peak. The setting is idyllic with tropical plants framing every view and animals grazing in beautifully landscaped grounds. Slip on some wellies for the daily tour of the dairy farm which offers you the chance to have a go at milking a cow. La Saca Restaurant serves farm-fresh milk and eggs and you can either try a traditional local breakfast of rice and beans or stick to western options such as omelettes and pancakes. Tuck into tasty pizzas from the poolside grill and enjoy happy hour at the two swim-up bars.

The hotel is a great base for exploring the volcano region and there are plenty of activities that can be arranged. Visit the Arenal Hanging Bridges, hike the Las Coladas Trail through rainforest and over a lava flow, enjoy the thrill of white-water rafting on the Toro River, or spot monkeys, sloths and birds at Caño Negro, a wildlife reserve.

The semi-detached bungalows are nestled in tropical gardens and feel very private. They offer plenty of space and you can wake up to panoramic views of the volcano. Relax in one of the inviting rocking chairs on your private terrace and drink in the incredible view with just the sound of birdsong to accompany you. Golf buggies are on hand to whisk you around the sprawling grounds.
