DAY 1: BOGOTÁ
On arrival in Bogotá you will be met at the airport and transferred to your downtown accommodation.
DAY 2: BOGOTÁ
Bogotá has been reborn in recent years as one of Latin America’s most commercial and dynamic centres. This morning, enjoy a fascinating guided walking tour of the historic La Candelaria district, the oldest part of the city that was founded in 1538. This afternoon, enjoy some free time to further explore at your leisure. B.
DAY 3: COFFEE TRIANGLE
Return to the airport for your morning flight to Pereira, a city at the heart of Colombia’s coffee industry in the famous Coffee Triangle. On arrival, transfer to the stylish boutique hotel Sazagua on the outskirts of the city for a two-night stay. The remainder of the day is free to relax in the hotel’s attractive gardens. B.
DAY 4: COFFEE TRIANGLE
A highlight of the itinerary, this morning board a classic Willys Jeep to enjoy a private tour of Hacienda Venecia – one of the region’s pre-eminent coffee plantations.
Tour the plantation’s grounds and learn the intricacies of the processes developed to produce Colombia’s fine Arabica bean coffees, including the chance to taste some deliciously aromatic, freshly roasted product. B.
DAY 5: CARTAGENA
This morning, transfer back to the airport for your flight (via Bogotá) to the coastal city of Cartagena for a three-night stay at the boutique Ananda Hotel. The remainder of the day is at leisure. B.
DAY 6: CARTAGENA
Enjoy a fascinating, privately guided tour of this historic walled city on the Caribbean shores, exploring its attractive, thriving streets and many important sites. B.
DAY 7: CARTAGENA
Enjoy a full day free to relax or further explore this charming and intoxicating Caribbean city at your leisure. B.
DAY 8: CARTAGENA
Transfer back to the airport for your return flight home. Alternatively, extend your stay by transferring along the coast to Tayrona National Park, the beautiful Rosario Islands, or sophisticated Medellín. B.
