A boutique hotel full of character in the historic heart of the city.
Behind a somewhat subtle entrance you’ll discover a boutique gem that provides you with a real sense of place in the Colombian capital. Made up of two buildings – one colonial and one republican – the historic part of the hotel has been painstakingly returned to its former glory, while tasteful modern additions have been made. Step out of the hotel and you’ll be in the heart of the historic La Candelaria district which is criss-crossed by charming cobbled streets. The city’s beautiful opera house, Teatro de Cristóbal Colón is just next door and sights such as the cathedral, parliament buildings and San Carlos Palace are just a short walk away. The tranquil spa with its indoor pool and whirlpool is the perfect retreat following a day of city explorations.
There are two restaurants onsite including the Mediterranean/Colombian venue La Scala and El Mirador. At the latter you can feast on pizza, hamburgers, sea food and meat dishes as you enjoy views out over the terracotta tiles of the La Candelaria rooftops.
With a history that spans the centuries it should come as no surprise that the rooms have a mix of styles from Colonial to modern. The majority of the rooms are located throughout the colonial and republican buildings while a further 15 art deco-style rooms are set in the adjacent building.
