We couldn't work out why this hotel is called the Tibet, because Tibet is a long way from Chengdu, but the public areas were beautifully themed and decorated. The building is vast and sprawling, but fascinating. Our bedrooms and bathrooms were spacious and comfortable, the bathrooms tastefully modern and luxuriously equipped. Buffet breakfast included everything anyone of any nationality could want. The waiters and waitresses were impeccably dressed, even by Chinese standards, in beautiful uniforms. Recommended.
Half way through our tour of China and we stayed here for one night in order to visit the panda base. We wished we had more than one night as this hotel was lovely. Well appointed rooms. Very quiet and good breakfast once youd got over the shock of cold fish skin with pickled pepper and Tibetn snake. I'll stick to toast thanks all the same. Nice authentic touches throughout. Woud recommend
Centrally Located and Nice Business-Class Rooms
Breakfast buffet selection was large and dining room well laid out. Room a large business-style room that was very comfortable but wifi service limited as always in China. We were on the 16th floor which was really quiet and peaceful in an otherwise noisy city.
Fabulous. hotel - highly recommended
We would have loved to stay at this hotel longer than one night! The room was huge and very comfortable and the bathroom was amazing. Also the only hotel to provide wine glasses which were in a beautiful glass box with wonderful tea pots and cups.
Visit to see panda breeding station
Stayed for three nights in this well, appointed hotel. Great experience and the facilities in the room were high quality. Couldn't get BBC world news on TV. Most preset stations were second rate soaps and films in Mandarin. Amazing selection at buffet breakfast.
