Recommended highlights
The itinerary begins with a two-night stay in Toronto with your time free to explore at your own pace. Perhaps head to the top of the iconic CN Tower or visit the vibrant Distillery District where art galleries, theatres, and brew pubs sit side by side. Skim the shore of Lake Ontario as you make your way to the small city of Kingston which sits almost halfway between Toronto and Montréal. Highlights here include Fort Henry National Historic Site and the Waterfront. En route to Montréal you will pass through the beautiful Thousand Islands Region where a one-hour cruise is included. Your time in Montréal and Québec City is free to explore as you please. Visits to Montréal’s Old Town and Québec City’s Fortifications are not to be missed. Return to Ontario for a two night stay in Ottawa, the country’s capital city. On departure from Ottawa you will drive through the beautiful Algonquin Provincial Park. Stay a couple of nights in the breathtaking Lakeland region, near the town of Huntsville. Large vacation homes are dotted along the shores of the area’s many lakes, and activities on offer locally include canoeing, sailing, hiking and horse riding. Your final night before returning to Toronto, will be spent at the world-famous Niagara Falls.
