A staycation for my wife and I
My wife and I wanted to celebrate our wedding anniversary, so we stayed at the Ritz in our own city. This hotel was closed for a total remake so we decided to check it out. We checked in early, used the spa, had dinner and breakfast in our room because of Covid restrictions. The room was perfect. Every detail was thought of, and everything is modern, but classic at the same time. Great service, and great facilities. The hotel, and all of downtown Montreal, was empty because of Covid. Our room was totally sanitized just before we checked in. My wife and I had a great experience. It was a nice treat for our special occasion.
We really enjoyed our stay at Ritz Carlton Montreal. Ritz Carlton is in our home city, and decided that this year to celebrate our 33rdt wedding aniversary. there once again. After changing the reservation on several occasions because of Covid19 and the lock down. We finally broke down and said we needed a change and decided to go on our weekend. Our experience was number 1 in my books. With all the new rules with Covid, I was impressed on how well the Ritz rose to the occasion of giving guest the best experience possible. This was our 4th time staying here and we will be back. We chose the hotel as its centrally located to the metro, bus, and is in walking distance to many attractions, making the hotel even more attractive. Terrific room, bedding, towels, bathroom, the service - I can't say enough. Again I have to mention the very friendly and professional staff at Ritz-Carlton. They really made us feel welcome during this pandemic. We felt very secure and safe in the hotel and in our room. The Ritz whent over and above on cleanliness to the point of vaccuum packing and sealing everything that was sanitized. We will definitely be staying here again.
Absolutely the best
The Ritz Montreal is one of the nicest hotels I have ever stayed in. Their location is fabulous as well as all of the decor, the staff and their afternoon tea. We are kosher diners and we were so excited to try the kosher afternoon tea option. I also went to the hair salon before the weekend and was very impressed. Way to go!
Perfect hotel experience in Montreal
We decided to spend one night here in Ritz-Carlton during our Montreal trip. Well, we should have stayed here for the entire trip! The lobby was shiny. The service was exceptional. The room was of top-notch quality. And the restaurant really gave us a good atmosphere to enjoy the delicious food! This is one of the hotels we will never forget!
Worth Every Penny And More….
We booked a fabulous trip to Europe to celebrate our 20th Anniversary, but we all know how 2020 kyboshed that! As such, we planned a more local trip to La Belle Provence between the first and second wave of the pandemic. We decided to book the best hotels available during our journey to ensure robust safety protocols, as well as making the experience as special as possible, even if not far from home. Without question I think most of us see “The Ritz” as the pinnacle, so we decided to splurge whilst in Montreal…BEST…IDEA…EVER! Sure it cost a bit more than we normally spend, but we wanted to make our getaway memorable. In the end, they couldn’t have done more to make us feel like we were living the dream – our stay was an absolute bargain in the end. I messaged ahead, communicating what our stay meant to us and at the same time booking their fabulous restaurant, Maison Boulud. Through many machinations of Covid restrictions and challenges, the staff graciously and kindly moved heaven and earth to try to please us, whilst keeping everyone safe. On the eve of our arrival, restaurant dining (and pretty much everything else in town) got shut down. We were relegated to room service and not much else. One would think that might have rendered our stay disappointing, but it was anything but! On our arrival the lovely staff, including Guest Relations Director, Veronica De Foy, greeted us as if we were Lizzy and Phillip themselves. They rolled out the red carpet and made such a fuss, that even royalty would blush. Of course masks, sanitizer, social distancing and thermometers abound, but that just made us feel far safer during such an intrepid time. Our next moment of delight was finding out that we’d been elevated to a far nicer suite than the tiny room we initially paid for. Maybe it was because of the special occasion, or perhaps it was because of low occupancy during this challenging time, but it was ever so considerate and thoughtful never-the-less. Eating in your room feels a lot more special when you can move about, be properly seated and enjoy a lovely view. Once in our room we discovered festive balloons, expertly strewn rose petals, chilled bubbly, and a gourmet dessert with a heartfelt hand-written card accompanying it all! We were simply gobsmacked at the generosity of spirit. In fact, throughout our stay, the hotel couldn’t do enough for us to ensure we had the grandest of times…and indeed we did! The moral of the story is that if you ever want to treat yourselves and are debating about whether the few extra pennies are worth it, let me save you the trouble…book it Dano and never look back! We’ll definitely be staying nowhere else, next time we sojourn in Montreal!
