Comfortable stay at reasonable cost
The hotel was very comfortable, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location is central. The daily rate was good. It should be noted that room cleaning was suspended due to Ovid protocols, also vaccination proof is required n hotels and restaurants.
Excellent Stay & Memorial time
Memorial Stay, I stayed in this lovely hotel for 3 nights with my family last August, as QQC member, treated as an Ambesder/ VIP Guest. What a lovely staff, excellent service from front desk to housekeeping everyone was smiling and helpful, the swimming pool was amazing. Definitely we will come back.
Great Location, Spacious Room with a Few Minor Issues
Overall the hotel was decent. Our room was spacious and clean. We went to the restaurant for breakfast, and the service was not great - it took us about 30 minutes to get our food. The sink in our room drained really slowly, and the elevator to the parking garage was broken when we were leaving.
Dropping My Kid Off at McGill
I was bringing my son to McGill for the beginning of the school year and I stayed at the Delta Hotel for three nights, Aug 30-Sept 2 and I will not be returning. The hotel's location is great, but it is downhill from there. The room was aged and worn. The bed was not the premium Marriott quality of other brands. The bathroom was basic. Furthermore, when I checked in I was 49 nights into my Gold Status via Marriott, needing 1 additional night to reach Platinum Elite status. I showed the front desk the Marriott app that showed that I was one night away from reaching that status. I asked if I would be credited as a Platinum member after my first night which would grant me free breakfast, and the front desk declined the request saying that it would not be credited until my next stay. Upon checkout, I was told the hotel bill would be emailed to me. A few days later, I still had not received my bill, so I called the hotel and asked them to send it to me again, and to date, I still have not received it. Between the disappointing, aged room, and the poor customer service, I will not be returning to the hotel on my next visit to McGill. The good news is that there are plenty of other hotel options in the area.
Great location, and attentive staff. But no coffee anywhere in the hotel??? That's insane. Furthermore, the crowds and the elevator lines are about 15 minutes to wait for an elevator! The wifi is atrocious, and unusable. Marriott should be concerned if this is their flagship hotel in Montreal...
