Not up to expectations
We had a brief stay and chose this hotel with high expectations for infection control practices. We had a housekeeper in our room while we were present who chose to wear a mask down around their neck - no face or nose covering. There were guests in the lobby not wearing masks and staff walking by without a word of caution. My family expected more from a hotel like this in terms of infection control and were extremely disappointed in how this hotel is respecting public health. Stay clear if you expect more. We ordered room service to avoid going out with our kids and the food quality was terrible. They didn't have all options available. They forgot items and didn't get the order straight increasing more needless contact with staff. My vehicle was also damaged by the valet service. Needless to say, this was one of our most disappointing stays. I am MOST concerned about their total lack of regard for public health.
Great Toronto Hotel
This Ritz Carlton is one of the newer ones and is modernly elegant. The room was spacious but the Club lounge is everything. We have traveled to many hotels and my friends seem to remember this one. It’s also good walking distance from the sights. There is a business focused feel to the hotel, which is fine.
Best hotel ever!
The staff, the service, the food, and everything else was AWESOME! I plan on only staying at the Ritz's going forward. Make sure you do the club lounge level it's totally worth the money! The staff make you feel like family and even tho it's a high class establishment you don't have to be rich to enjoy it or feel comfortable.
A suite in our time of need!
We had a water main break on our street and had to find somewhere to stay when they had to shut down the water to our house. Called my Bonvoy ambassador and was connected to the Ritz. They reserved a corner suite with connecting rooms for the kids. 2 hours later the family was having room service and relaxing. Rooms were really nice. The kids couldn’t believe the remote controlled toilet seat in our room. To be honest we were surprised as well :) Staff were all super nice and made it an enjoyable stay. Pool area is amazing. They have jets in the pool to give you the hot tub feel in the actual pool. We had room service for all the meals and the food is really good. It’s not cheap but at least it’s good. Kids chicken fingers was 22 before tax, delivery and tip. So not cheap. All in all a good stay. Only negative was having to wait about 45 minutes to get our car. Recommend it!
The Ritz is the the Ritz, fantastic service , meticulous care. Just a great overall experience. Fantastic location. They provided us with complimentary breakfast for 2 days which was a total surprise.
