Terrible. Dirty. Cold
Garbage left from previous occupant. Walls were paper thin and the temp was freezing. Not to mention moldy bathroom. This place felt like an old apartment building that was barely cleaned to turn it into a hotel.
Booked a stay at the Chelsea hotel, travelled all the way to Toronto and was very disappointed when I was greeted by the staff I explained to the staff that I had forgotten my drivers license at home in Ottawa however they refused to make an exception and check me in with an Ontario Health card and My Amex. This was a very irritating and embarrassing experience as I’d travelled all the way to Toronto with my girlfriend for the night and was forced to stand in the lobby on hold on the phone trying to get a refund for over half an hour. Staff was very rude and I even spoke to the manager who was very rude as well (A.J) I ended up heading to the Westin Harbour Castle where they accommodated me and checked me in without my drivers license.
I'm looking forward to returning!
All my expectations and needs were well satisfied! The room was clean and very comfortable. Loved the bed and pillows for sleeping. The TV and WiFi were appreciated for relaxing and keeping in touch. My husband raved about his meals and the desserts. All staff that we came in contact with greeted us with a smile and were very helpful and professional. The location of The Chelsea worked very well for the appointments we had. I look forward to returning when all amenities are available.

Excellent place to stay to access a stay in this centre of Toronto facility. Five minute drive, a reduction on accommodation charge, underground parking half off. This was during covid-19 and hotel were a safe practicing facility.
COVID- 19 VIRUS CHANGES EVERYTHING
We stayed at this hotel for 5 days due to medical issues at nearby TGH. The only hotel services which were operating normally in my opinion were the "check -in desk and the parking lot " ! We had hoped to order room service for our meals ....but there was no room service ! We had to go down to the buffet and order food to be taken back to our rooms to eat .That created issues of smelly room odours and overflowing garbage cans. Housekeeping did clean the room everyday and remove the garbage ect. Despite all these COVID restrictions , we found the hotel staff tried to be helpful and friendly . The food purchased was generous proportions and excellent quality . We would return to this hotel .
