I selected this hotel due to positive reviews but it did not live up to my expectations. Our room itself was average but it had a lovely view of the American falls. The hotel was very full and was I particularly surprised by this due to COVID and the fact that it was the last weekend in Sept.The restaurants were very busy and we could not get reservations. The steakhouse was not accepting walk-ins and although it was early evening it did not seem that we were going to get into the others in a reasonable amount of time. Staff did their best to ensure elevators going up had no more than four people in them but when going down, this was not possible. Often there were 6-8 at a time. The lobby was busy and loud and the noise level was increased by background music and poor acoustics. It was very difficult to communicate with staff. In my opinion it is not worth the extra money unless you want to be close to the casino which is directly across the road. It was not open due to COVID that weekend. If/when I return, I would choose a different hotel located more centrally.
So nice to get away in a safe environment
We love the Fallsview Hilton.!!!! We have been fortunate enough to come and visit every month since June and it is so appreciated to go somewhere in such a beautiful setting as Niagara. . We especially appreciate all the added safety measures they are taking during Covid. It shows that they are doing a great job and we felt very safe there at all times. That is lovely, they’re always professional and friendly! That has kept us coming back for years and we always highly recommend to all family and friends. We visited with our friends another couple and stopped at a few wineries on our way in. Please be sure to call ahead and reserve some wineries they can book up quickly and most require a reservation especially if you’re going on the weekend We checked in relaxed in the room a little and then went out for a nice walk and dinner. . A lovely getaway with friends and we’ve also have enjoyed a visit with our kids Over the summer.
best view you could ask for
this was an awesome view of both sets of falls the light show at night was fantastic. This hotel is right in the middle of it all Clifton hill was a walk but we did it several times the street to the falls is right outside with a Tim Hortons right around the corner.
Meant to be beautiful honeymoon ended hellish
It started so well.. we got a lovely room with a gorgeous view of the falls... so excited to be on the 38th floor...then things went wrong. We were there 3 nights, the second night we were awoken at 2am by the fire alarm. After walking down 38 flights of stairs we navigated to the outside without any staff assistance. After the fire Marshall cleared the hotel we were allowed back in.. sadly none of the staff knew how to reinstate the elevators. One amazing staff member recognized something was needed and handed out water bottles. We waited in the lobby for over half an hour until they could get the elevators working again. Back to bed at 4am.. next night 12:30 fire alarm again!!! After not sleeping the night before my new husband felt ill so getting jolted awake again was not fun. Walked down 38 flights again..this time we led others out as we knew where to go. Much faster getting back to our room as they got the elevators working as soon as they had the all clear. The hotel staff AND management brushed us off when we asked about the situation...little did we know that the water from that one helpful staff member (wish I knew his name) was the only compensation for our ruined honeymoon we would get.
Excellent stay. Parking off site
Great location. Room was really clean and the option of a digital key is great to avoid contact with others. Wonderful view and everything was clean and properly sanitizes. Surprised that a hotel with this brand and reputation could not have enough on site parking and needed to send us to an offsite location. That stole valuable time and comfort because it was a rainy day and the parking pot was muddy and shuttle for check out was with a very big line that forced to walk.
