The hotel is charming on the outside and in the lobby. Then you go to your room, and it's all downhill from there black mould on the ceiling rooms are very our dates and water stains everywhere it looks clean, just not up kept at all the pictures on the wall have water damage floors old and smelly, staff are amazing just needs to be updates in the rooms beds need to be changed lumpy beds overall not a great stay nor will we be returning very disappointed we wanted an amazing 16 year anniversary get away, and this was not it sadly, We would not recommend the stay at all
MEMORABLE VIEW OF THE FALLS
Had a premium view room on upper floors to overlook both American and Horseshoe falls, a delight especially with nightly illumination. The room was spacious, exceptionally clean, had a jacuzzi tub, refrigerator, and good lighting. The Direct TV was hopelessly limited (no Canadian TV networks or stations nor cable news stations) but that was not why we stayed here. Parking is typically Niagara Falls pricey -- $35 per night for a remote lot. I would recommend finding other parking ($10 for a nearby lot during this quieter time of the year and during covid restricted travel times when not many U.S. vacationers were in Canada. The Italian restaurant was not open at all (no explanation) and we had dinner at a nearby Margaritaville restaurant--not impressed with that. The Hilton public areas are undergoing some renovations. Front desk staff was pleasant, helpful, and efficient and waiting times were short (cf. our last time here in 2019 when it took what seemed to be forever). Parking staff was surly and gruff. The price was very reasonable -- we paid more for a Hampton Inn in suburban Detroit than this Hilton.
Fun at the Falls
We had a good time at the Hilton and have been coming pretty regularly. When we arrived we were greeted warmly by Karen who is very personable and helpful. It's nice to be treated so well. Our room overlooking both falls was great. We didn't have any trouble because of covid everything ran smoothly. We had dinner both nights at Corso and thoroughly enjoyed it.
Well located, but customer service experience was Mixed!
Hotel is well located, with many in-house restaurants and connected to Casino. But parking staff can be more courteous and Fallsview rooms need renovation as well as shower rooms are very small. Housekeeping (hotel should make sure all are vaccinated) and should now provide per-COVID cleaning of the room service after sanitizing themselves, and wearing mask instead of Hotels skipping this part in multi night stays in the name of COVID.
Not even close to worth the money
My husband and I spent 2 nights at this hotel. We decided to go with a Hilton hotel because it is generally considered to be higher end and we were celebrating our anniversary. We were entirely disappointed. You would think because of the COVID19 pandemic, the rooms would be spotless. That was not the case. There were chip crums all over the floor from a previous occupant and significant staining on the carpet. It really makes you wonder, if they didn't bother to vacuum up crums from the carpet, did they bother to sanitize high-touch areas. The rooms were also very dated and the furniture was very worn out and dirty. I expected more from the Hilton brand, especially for the price I paid. The front desk attendant did not seem too concerned when I raised these issues with him. Not only will I be avoiding this hotel in the future, but I will be avoiding the Hilton chain in general. The only redeeming quality for this hotel was the location. It's proximity to the falls made it convenient and it made for great views from our hotel room. Sadly, this was not enough to make up for its significant flaws.
