Great Family Vacation
Highly recommend Walnut Beach. We'll be back! Lake front access was wonderful. Pool was clean and warm (great for kids). Pulled Pork Nachos were ordered almost daily poolside as they were so delicious. Friendly staff.
The resort itself, the rooms and the staff were great. I find the rates in the area overall too pricey. As a Canadian, we often choose to travel outside the country because you can get better value for your money. Nothing wrong with this resort, but if it weren't for COVID, we could have likely stayed in a tropical beach resort for 30-50% longer for what we paid. This isn't a Walnut Beach Resort issue per se, just an overall comment about Canadian pricing. Was a lovely experience.
Will be back in 2021!
This was our 3rd time visiting this resort as a family and although I was hesitant to visit with all of the covid rules, I am glad that we went. The staff was absolutely amazing, the bartender went above and beyond in the restaurant, and we just appreciated how low key the staff was about the beach rules which we were initially concerned about. We all LOVED the added games to the back green space, it was fun to play as a family while we ate dinner. This place is a little slice of heaven and we will absolutely be back!
Not worth the money
- TV didn't work took 2 calls and 2 days to fix - Dishwasher did not work - Bed frame stuck out and we kept hitting our shins - water around the dock was filled with garbage - no fire pits sue to lack of staff - no hotubs due to lack of staff - no housekeeping staff I do not recommend this resort
We just recently stayed at Walnut Beach in room 142 and we had a great deck connected to our room but.... it was full of spider webs, spiders, dirty, dusty and we wouldn't allow our kids out there. It could if been such a great little area because it was 40 degrees out this week..The beach was rocky as well and we sat on the beach under there umbrellas and they were full of spider eggs, webs etc too... We stay at hotels alot and unfortunately we won't be returning here, way better options in Osoyoos for the $350 a night price
