Recommended highlights

Take your seat as the train traverses the mountain scenery of Alberta and northern British Columbia, and discover scenes of a region rich in first nations’ culture and history. During the train journey you will be treated to spectacular views as the train passes through the beautiful Canadian Rockies towards the Pacific coast. After departing the resort town of Jasper, the train travels through the Yellowhead Pass, which marks the Alberta and British Columbia border, and over the continental divide. The train then follows the course of the Fraser River and the shores of Moose Lake. After stopping for the night in the city of Prince George you’ll continue journeying across British Columbia’s interior plateau and along the mighty Skeena River before arriving in the Pacific coastal city of Prince Rupert where your journey comes to an end. Your seat will be in economy class, which offers great value and large windows from which to admire the surroundings; you’ll also be able to access the dome car with its 360 degree views (October to May). On select dates between mid-June to September, you can upgrade to Touring Class, which offers a reclining seat and extra-large panoramic windows.
