Our stay in Jasper National Park.
Travelling through Jasper National Park,we used Pyramid Lake Resort as our base to venture out on day trips everyday whilst there. They had a unit with a fireplace which was wonderful to come home to every night after exploring during the day. Also a balcony to watch the Sunrising in the morning looking out over the lake. The town of Jasper was close by for restaurants and shops to buy essentials from. The staff were very helpful too. I left a package of gifts for my family in a draw and they kindly went to the trouble to send the missing items to me. We were very happy with our stay there.
nice location older resort
had a nice stay, quiet in off season, outdoor hot tub was high point. Nice room with fire. Would have given a 5 but they had temp controls deactivated, this should not be done for paying guests so had to leave a window all night to cool room, this would have been unpleasant if the resort was really busy as noise would have been a problem. Can't beat being up on the mountain though compared to in town.
Poor design very noisy
Currently staying at the resort in one of the newer cabins, these units are 8 plex units and poorly designed. Very noisy above and from the side. Very clean, friendly staff and ok price for jasper. Comfortable beds and very nice bathroom with tub shower combo. Gas fireplace in the room is nice to sit next to and close to walking trails and the lake. Poor design in the floor system and the attached stars on the outside make it a poor sleep. Also the pop and ice machine are located in the main building down a long steep walk to get there. The hot tub and dry sauna are ok but dirty, change room floors are a mess leave your boots on! If we decide to stay here again we may try an upper level unit it may be better
Terrible experience, poor service and food
Extremely unpleasant stay at this hotel. First of all, we had booked at another sister resort about an hour away and were not told it was closed for the winter. We then called a number on the door to be informed we were moved to pyramid lake resort. Upon arrival, we were pleased with the look/location. We then received our room, the top sheet on the bed had blood on it, and the fireplace did not work, when we brought it up to the management, they were trying to make it sound like the blood was ours which it was not and is disgusting. Not pleased with the service or situation at all. We received a complimentary breakfast voucher which to be honest, I wouldn’t eat their breakfast again if I was paid to do so. We had supper at the restaurant The next day as we did not want to leave the hotel after a long day of skiing and we were served a half rotten salad. Extremely unimpressed with Pyramid lake resort, it is an extremely beautiful location and could be amazing if only people cared and a little effort was put into day to day services and a better dining experience. Highly upsetting stay.
bring back the orginal owner of this resort. !
We have been coming to this resort since 1988 . Since that time my hubby and I and have truly enjoyed the hospitality , cleanness of the rooms, and the area itself is amazing and still is ! however.. this time December 30 , was disturbing to say the least. First of all , we had to wait over a hour /half before getting into our rooms. as did others ! .. Once we managed to get into the room,; I was devastated to see how dirty the room was. There were stains on the bed cover, ants ( yes not bed bugs!!! but Ants ) crawling all over the desk table..shampoos /conditioners were frozen solid .. carpet was dirty.. for a first class resort that I used to brag to people about , gone completely the opposite . sorry , we will not return ! I do hope others though had a better experience !
