Good value for money. Great Location. Amazing & helpful staff. Top breakfast!
Big thanks for the stay at your hotel! Everything was perfect starting from the check in to check out. Also thank you for moving us from 9th to 19th floor after first night - the view is much much better as well as the room is bigger. The breakfast were the best we had in Brazil during our stay! Pool area and the view are marvelous! Staff super helpful. The hotel itself is not the newest and you can see it from the beginning - most of the buildings on Copacabana are from the 80s and 90s and you can feel both on the outside as well as inside but it doesn't really matter so much as the location and everything else is priceless! Also safety measures regarding Covid are kept - so you can feel safe in these terms (masks, social distance, disinfection, breakfast measurment)
We stayed here last year in March. We had Ocean view suite. Nice view and at night time we could hear waves. Front desk people are nice and informative. Our only downside was the weather. To our surprise all week was gloomy and rainy. Hotel doesn't have big swimming pool. More like kiddy pool. It would be nice if they had big swimming pool. Roof top bar has a nice view. You can see Christ the Redeemer from over there.
World Class Service With Better Than World Class Employees and Attention
Folks if you want friendliness, class, attention, quality and the absolute BEST people. This is your place. I am blessed to travel the world and this is rated a 4 star but don't let the numbers fool you. I want to recognize all below that I had a positive experience with during my stay there. Simone - Disney class and training but even better. Sascha...theman.com Handled Everything right and went SUPER above and beyond. Called and checked on me during his day off and even when I left the hotel to go to the sister hotel in Sao Paulo. How many times has one heard of that. Daniel.....has it all with class and service. Great man. Thiago..thanks for all. Security at the hotel was excellent with Max and Paulo. Edilesa thanks for cleaning up after me. Had a slight issue with the A.C. but they upgraded me and took care of me above and beyond and very quickly. If I was looking for improvement , I was not crazy about the breakfast. Good variety but I'm not a buffet person. Covid hurts this concept I believe. Service there was world class though. Check in....seamless, check out great. I was robbed of my cell phone about a 1/4 mile away at Copacabana Palace but this has absolutely nothing to do with this hotel. I cant find a bad thing to say if I wanted. Anyone that wishes to ask me question please do so and I will answer. Also, as an at a boy /girl, I am going to toward this review to Expedia CEO, Peter Kern as this hotel deserves it. I stayed at the 5 star Portobay in Sao Paulo and while awesome, this hotel regarding friendliness is above and beyond. Guys keep on keeping on and I WILL BE BACK.
Great location and service
The staff is very attentive and was going extra mile to accommodate our requests. We were delighted to have a room ready for us, even though we arrived before check-in time. Our room was on the 19th floor, which is the highest one available (the pool is located on the 20th). Our view was simply amazing, with Chris the redeemer on our right-hand side. We truly enjoyed staying in the balcony checking out people in the beach and the summer breeze in the evenings. The pool is also amazing, which a super friendly staff, where you can easily spend the whole day just relaxing and having some cocktails (best passion fruit caipiroska I had in Brazil!) Breakfast is a whole new level: they offer a great variety of food and juices, which will please everyone's taste. I was amazed to try the papaya cake and watermelon juice. I will definitely stay there again next time I'm in Rio.
Worst Hotel EVER
We’ve stayed there for 3 nights in the TopFloor Suite in which we experienced THE WORST NIGHT EVER! But let’s take things from the beginning! We arrived and our room was not ready for some reason at the bespike time. So we waited until 16:30 to go in! No welcome drink as advertised but we payed for 2 cocktails that we’ve had while waiting! Upon entering the room we noticed that the floors were disgustingly dirty, you could tell that no one had vacuumed the room for the past 1-2 weeks at least and while trying to wash our hands using the bathroom sink , some kind of dirt came from the drain! So we called the supervisor and he fixed it . But he fixed it the next day , so whenever we wanted to wash ourselves we had to smell/see dirt coming up from the drain ! And now to our last morning : When we woke up on our last morning I saw that over the living room table and through the led lights above the table there was water dripping making soaking wet all our belongings (passports / money / personal bag / earphones / caps ) . So we called the reception asking for the hotel manager! First came the supervisor! Then the housekeeping! Then at last the hotel manager, who promised us some kind of compensation for our destroyed earphones and wet things! Which NEVER HAPPENED! Not only this, upon us contacting the hotel, there was NO ANSWER of course! All this was at the TOP FLOOR SUITE the most expensive room they’ve had!
