Worst Hotel EVER
We’ve stayed there for 3 nights in the TopFloor Suite in which we experienced THE WORST NIGHT EVER! But let’s take things from the beginning! We arrived and our room was not ready for some reason at the bespike time. So we waited until 16:30 to go in! No welcome drink as advertised but we payed for 2 cocktails that we’ve had while waiting! Upon entering the room we noticed that the floors were disgustingly dirty, you could tell that no one had vacuumed the room for the past 1-2 weeks at least and while trying to wash our hands using the bathroom sink , some kind of dirt came from the drain! So we called the supervisor and he fixed it . But he fixed it the next day , so whenever we wanted to wash ourselves we had to smell/see dirt coming up from the drain ! And now to our last morning : When we woke up on our last morning I saw that over the living room table and through the led lights above the table there was water dripping making soaking wet all our belongings (passports / money / personal bag / earphones / caps ) . So we called the reception asking for the hotel manager! First came the supervisor! Then the housekeeping! Then at last the hotel manager, who promised us some kind of compensation for our destroyed earphones and wet things! Which NEVER HAPPENED! Not only this, upon us contacting the hotel, there was NO ANSWER of course! All this was at the TOP FLOOR SUITE the most expensive room they’ve had!
Good hotel for Rio
Stayed here for 4 days and found the hotel good for Copacabana beach and sight seeing. Disappointingly our room 804 had a side street view of the opposite building but when on the balcony you could just see the beach. Rooms are clean but small and compact . Staff are all very friendly and helpful. The breakfasts are varied, delicious and items are topped up regularly. We tried the restaurant one evening and it has a great a la carte menu with a good choice although prices aren’t cheap. The roof top bar and pool are a bonus as are the beach facilities.
Our room had a partial view of Copacabana beach which was great as you could see what was going on and have a degree of quietness at night when we were sleeping. The hotel was clean, tidy, modern and had a fantastic rooftop pool and bar overlooking Copacabana. The breakfast was amazing a good way of starting the day ahead of sightseeing and being a part of the fantastic atmosphere in Rio. Renato was one of the waiters serving us drinks on the terrace and more than happy for me to practice my Portuguese whilst serving us. He was friendly and his service was excellent. The room was spacious with a fantastic bathroom. The balcony was nice and had a side view of the beach and it was nice to enjoy and drink and admire the view and the live music from a nearby bar. If you are on holiday in Rio, I would highly recommend this hotel!
Great Hotel. One of the best in Copa!
Very clean rooms and communal spaces, great location, friendly staff, beautiful spacious rooms with great views of the city, the mountains and of course the beach and islands. Food at breakfast was great and the other restaurant on the roof by the pool & lounge area had really nice dishes also! Def would stay there again!
Overall a nice hotel. Had room with balcony facing copacabana beach which was nice. Staff were all friendly. However the service at the pool area is very slow. Waited 30 mins for a 2 drinks order and an hour for a sandwich.
