Enjoy a mix of elegant fine dining and casual, beachfront meals at Sandy Lane’s four restaurants. Afternoon tea is served on the Lower Terrace, and Bajan Blue is renowned for its sensational Sunday brunch – an array of mouth-watering dishes from sushi, crab and suckling pig to indulgent miniature desserts. There’s also a wide choice of bars, ranging from casual beach hangouts to chic lounges hosting regular live entertainment.

L'Acajou This elegant, open-air restaurant serves delicious French and Mediterranean dishes with a wide selection of New World and European wines, plus spellbinding views over the Caribbean Sea.

Bajan Blue Head here for laid-back beachfront dining, with a menu inspired by the Caribbean, Asia, Europe and beyond, and a sushi station serving handmade creations. It also hosts a memorable Sunday Brunch, as well as various themed buffet evenings.

The Spa Cafe Overlooking the pool, this casual spot offers a tempting array of light and healthy meals, including salads, soups and sandwiches.

The Country Club Located at the Golf Clubhouse, this is the perfect spot for leisurely lunches, coffees and cocktails with a backdrop of tumbling green hills.

The Monkey Bar Designed by one of England's leading muralists, Gez Taylor, this lively bar offers an atmospheric setting for cocktails and aperitifs, with live entertainment every Tuesday night on the Lower Terrace.

Voted the number one Hotel Spa in the Caribbean, Bermuda and the Bahamas by Travel + Leisure, Sandy Lane’s spa is seriously impressive. It’s set in a Romanesque building fronted by a spectacular waterfall, with 11 treatment rooms, a jet blitz room, sauna, crystal cold room and rhassoul steam bath among the facilities. Treatments range from cryotherapy to romance rituals, and every room has its own private landscaped garden or hydrotherapy pool. The hotel boasts a 2,500sq ft gym and training area supervised by qualified personal trainers, and offers free daily fitness classes including spinning, circuits, Pilates and yoga.

There are also eight floodlit tennis courts and two padel courts (complimentary for all guests), with a resident pro on hand to provide coaching.

Whizz along on waterskis, kayak along the coast or head out on a catamaran trip to swim with turtles; there’s a generous activity offering here, and all non-motorised watersports are complimentary. Diving and deep-sea fishing charters can also be arranged.

We recommend The Treehouse Club for children aged 3-12. There's also a zone for babies and a den for teens. Kids aged seven and up can enjoy non-motorised watersports, depending on their ability.

All of Sandy Lane’s rooms interconnect and the hotel will guarantee interconnecting rooms if the children are under 12. There are also two-bedroom suites which have two separate bedrooms, two bathrooms and two balconies, so you get more In the way of private space. These sleep two adults and up to three children under 14. If you’re staying as a group or celebrating something extra special, there’s one magnificent five-bedroom villa that sleeps up to 14 people and has its own pool and private entrance.

The Treehouse Club offers a range of activities and games for kids aged 3-16. Children under three can visit their own branch of the Tree House Club when accompanied by an adult and play with a selection of toys, puzzles and games in the Toddler Corner. Activities include arts and crafts, matinee movies, tennis, sailing, themed dinners. The Den, is dedicated to teenagers. Teens can hang out in their own lounge with an adjoining games room that features pool tables and foosball, two large-screen televisions and DVDs, as well as electronic and board games, a jukebox and computer stations. Additional activities for teenagers include island tours, sports clinics, water sports and coastal cruises. During the summer there are a number of sports camps for children aged 7 to 16 with complimentary lessons in golf, swimming, waterskiing, tennis and five-a-side football.

Sandy Lane is famous for its golf for good reason, with three spectacular courses: the 18-hole Country Club and The Green Monkey, both designed by Tom Fazio, and the charming Old Nine.

Enjoy the challenges created by the five lakes that divide the fairways at The Country Club whilst The Green Monkey par-72 course spreads across 22 acres against a backdrop of the Caribbean Sea. The iconic Old Nine par-36 course was created in 1961 and weaves its way through a grove of mahogany trees.

At The Clubhouse, there’s a 450-yard driving range, a putting green and practice bunker.
