Nusa Dua's hidden gem
After nearly a year of staying put, a lot of planning went into this Bali trip and the Laguna fulfilled our every wish and need. Wanting to have a private space during this 'New Normal', we opted for the 2 bedroom villa with a private pool and what a good choice it was. All the luxuries of a villa with the full service of a 5 star hotel, the best of both worlds. Not to mention that the whole villa occupies no less than 850m2. All the facilities were in excellent condition and running well despite the slump in travel. From the air conditioners (often an issue for us) to the water and grounds, all were kept in top shape. Restaurants were running with adjusted schedules and pool/beach area well maintained. But what sets the Laguna apart is the people. Special mention on the attention to detail and no request that is not possible. From pak Heru who only because we were talking about my favourite local cake, brought us packets of klepon to our villa to the villa butler who filled our rented giant floaties without being asked (no easy task, they were huge). All gave their best service with what we felt what genuine warmth. Thank you pak Anton and bu Nizelania. Though Bali is suffering without its tourists, the Laguna team made us hopeful that Bali will rise again and the Laguna should be on their wishlist.
9 people in our group were staying at the Laguna for 3 nights and every single one of us loved it. The hotel itself was very nice, was maintained very well eventhough occupancy was very low due to pandemic, but the service was best ever in my experienced. Everyone in the hotel and especially restaurant was very friendly and remembers you, they wouldn’t say no to any extra request. One nite my 5 years old son was making a fuss about finishing his dinner, a waiter noticed and offered him an ice cream if he can finish his meal, which he did really fast. Thank you everyone at the Laguna, you’ve made our holiday extra special.
Great hotel and services
We have great experience with the hotel hospitality. The room is big, clean and neat, and the services is awesome. The checkin and check out process was easy and they have a big parking lot. And the beach, is very clean. Thanks Laguna team.
Top notch experience on Nusa Dua beach
The Laguna is one of Nusa Dua's top properties, bar none. The staff are kind, thoughtful, and professional. The recreation staff took care of all of our needs, and they always inquired about our well being and how we were enjoying ourselves. The restaurant service was curtailed due to COVID, but the hotel managed an excellent modified breakfast sitting with proper physical distancing measures. The Arwana dinner service is fantastic, and there are many snacks and lunch items available pool side or in a beach cabana. The hotel graciously recognizes Marriott Bonvoy members, and we received an excellent room upgrade on an upper floor with an executive suite connecting to a standard room -- which gave us something like a two bedroom suite. I can't say enough kind things about the great people working there - fantastic! It was a great holiday!
I really have no words to describe how memorable my stay at The Laguna even before i stay. Let's talk about from my pre-arrival experience how curious, anttentive and toughtful of Ms. Meli dug out information about what i need during my stay, she also actually the one who reminds me "what's my occasion for my stay?" If she was not asking about it, i will definitely forgot to gave a little surprise for my partner. I wish i can personally say thank you directly to her. I was amazed with the resort, very secluded yet extremely humongous. The reception, Mr. Eddy is very courteous and he allowed me to have late check out until 4PM (more than i expected) and upgraded the room. We were escorted to the room by the lovely Mr. Maha. He was expaling about the resort very detail. We were doing a lot of fun activities at The Laguna such as cycling around the bay, swimming on the beach and in the pool. I forgot to mention how attentive the pool attendant (sorry i forgot his name) who keep giving us fresh towels as we moving from one pool to another 😅😅😅. Breakfast experience was OK, to be honest i was a bit annoyed with the chicken or turkey or i don't know what the name of the animal is who keep stealing our food since we were having breakfast outside by the beach 😂😂😂. Overall, i was amazed by their top notch quality of service. A lot of hotels and resorts in Bali with their hypnotizing properties, but their service that's what makes me want to stay at The Laguna again. See you again !!!
