Peaceful Haven in Bustling Ubud
Located just away from the shopping / dining centre of Ubud this hotel offers a tranquil break from an otherwise busy environment. Very comfortable rooms with partially open en suite bathrooms. Very friendly service and a pleasant restaurant. The swimming pool was also a most welcome facility.
Fantastic two night stay in wonderful accommodation.
Excellent accommodation with four poster beds in a wonderful room with en suite outdoor bathroom. Very quaint facilities in a lovely location. Great for unwinding away from the hustle bustle of a big city!
This is a beautiful hotel with helpful welcoming staff. You're out of the busy main centre but still close enough to easily access everything ubud has to offer. There are a few restaurants and bars very close if you don't want to go into the centre every night. The only downside was building work going on close by but they can't help that and we barely noticed it.
This resort is located in a beautiful setting surrounded by trees, giving it a real tropical, jungle feeling. The rooms are gorgeous and whilst not equipped with all the modern amenities (no TV or fridge for example) they do have the essential mosquito nets. The main swimming pool was closed during our stay which was a shame but the smaller one was available. Good location in Ubud so worth a visit if you’re after some rest and relaxation.
Tranquil, energizing With a few bumps
Arrived at this place totally without expectation, booked mainly due to its proximity and convenience. It than greeted with a warm huge energizing hug of the ancient Banyan tree and the hospitality of the Balinese people. I stayed for 3nights, left energized and refreshed. Barely left the hotel despite my initial need of being close to the city! Hotel has daily activities, yoga meditation and walks to the Campuhan river, all worthwhile participating in. Inhouse massage center does a fantastic job and is reasonably priced. Restaurant under the banyan tree, was the best part. Sitting there sipping tea feeling the breeze listening to the wind chimes.. absolutely what the doctor prescribed! The only cons beings the rooms had very thin walls so privacy is an issue, rooms are a bit outdated w plumbing issues and stained sheets/ covers. Major construction work adjacent is an eyesore with some noise pollution. Next door pig farming has strong odors wafting in and disrupting. Despite all these little bumps,I had a very enjoyable stay. Special shout out the entire team at Svarga Loka, from the caretakers, masseuse, front desk, housekeeping, waitstaff at the restaurant and Pak Ida Bagus - Thank you for making my stay memorable!
