We loved every aspect of our stay at the Sebel Launceston. The spa room was beautifully clean and comfortable, particularly the seating. Lovely balcony shaded by large trees. We appreciated the surprise of champagne for our anniversary. Staff are happy and friendly. Dined at in-house restaurant, Bluestone. Magnificent cuisine as always. We would not hesitate to stay again. Thank you again to all.
We come to the Sebel @ Launceston every year for our wedding anniversary, and this trip was excellent as usual. All the staff are wonderfully friendly and extremely helpful. The check-in process was quick and easy, our room was clean as expected. We attended the on-site restaurant 'Bluestone " for Dinner and breakfast the next morning, and just like the hotel,it was perfect. The food was great and the service was excellent, we always look forward to coming back.

We had a 2 bedroom apartment. The full rate is $400 plus. We paid $265. I expected a lot from this room but was disappointed. It wasn’t clean. There was dust around the edges of the floor and skirting. The blinds were dirty. The toilet smelt like urine. The body lotion in the bathroom had been used and the seal broken. I had read reviews and looked at the website and beaky expected more. The room was dated and needs to be freshly painted and redone. Furniture is old and worn. Overall I didn’t feel clean in this room and really wish I had of booked elsewhere.
The Sebel really is the perfect spot to base yourself in Launceston....close to the shops and restaurants but still nice and quiet , comfy and spotlessly clean. We booked a twin room for a long weekend getaway because it was comfortable and central for a tour of the Tamar Valley wineries. When we arrived a miscommunication from Qantas Hotels ( we had booked through) meant that the room wasn't ready but a quick trip to reception had us upgraded to a 2 bedroom suite with no fuss whatsoever! ( thank you Susan :) ) There is a fantastic restaurant onsite too if you don't want to go out in the cold (and rain - it is Launi after all!). We had delicious cooked breakfast each morning of our stay and its obviously a popular spot with the locals too as it was always busy. Overall, it was just a wonderful stay - exactly as you'd expect.
ANOTHER GREAT STAY WITH A LOT OF ATTENTION GIVEN TO US AS PAST QUESTS.
The trip was for me to attend a Legacy Board meeting in Tuesday 28th July. it was also to have dinner with friends at the Bluestone Restaurant at the Sebel. It was pleasing to see all regulations for the current Pandemic were in place in all areas of the Hotel. Dinner in the restaurant was a great pleasure with wonderful service from Ryan and delicious food from the kitchen. Also assistance from Peter on arrival and departure.
