Byron at Byron offers a very comfortable and relaxed escape from the mad hustle and bustle of Byron township. Byron at Byron is an oasis of tranquillity set in wonderful rainforest surrounds and lagoons. There is direct access to Tallow Beach from the resort via a short walking track. The resort boasts a relaxing pool where attentive staff cater for your needs. The accommodation is spacious and comfortable and there are a range of activities for anyone wanting to get a little more active. Forest Restaurant at the resort was disappointing. The food was well presented but was overpriced and a little unappetising. The wine list, particularly by the glass, left a lot to be desired. An ordinary glass of 2019 Chardonnay was $16. All in all, a very pleasant stay, but better food options are available away from the resort.
Wonderful to return
Just had a week here and still loved it, we have stayed many times. There has been some nice upgrades in the rooms, bed is very comfortable and the pillows are great. The staff are exceptional, all reception staff are very welcoming and really happy to see you, it’s great to see Lara still there and the trainee that’s part Portuguese was also great. The other staff are excellent and a few of the girls from South America were wonderful We really think the staff selection has improved significantly. The pool area is always exceptional and the guys preparing it each morning do a great job. The spa experience was also wonderful and the girls there were first grade, looking forward to returning to the new spa and gym. You all must be congratulated on a fine resort in these tough times and we are so pleased that you are very busy.
Me and my now fiancé stayed here for 3 nights and it was EXCEPTIONAL in every single way. Charlotte and Jordan stood out the most with there unreal customer service. Charlotte helped my partner plan the whole proposal on site and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thankyou Charlotte for being part of such a special day! The Rooms are amazing and pool area is perfect. Thankyou to the team at Byron at Byron for such a great experience, we will definitely be coming back!
I stayed here to celebrate my 30th birthday and it definitely did not disappoint! I appreciated the bottle of sparkling that i was given in my room, which we were able to enjoy at The Verandah Bar on our last afternoon. The rooms were lovely and spacious but the most impressive thing for me was the staff. They were all really warm and friendly, couldn't do enough for us and they made us feel at home. Nothing was too much trouble. I did a few activities while i was staying and everyone was always keen to hear how it went and to see photos. Thank you to Lara, Charlotte, Wilhelmina, Aaron, Nic, Kris (forest) and a big shoutout to Kyle for going out of his way for me. I had forgotten my bag with medication in it at Bang Bang after having dinner there and as I obviously needed my medication that night, Kyle drove me back to the restaurant to pick it up 😊 Unfortunately, I had to work in the mornings, but what nicer place to work on holidays than by the pool. The pool service was fantastic and it was lovely to chat with Nic whilst I was there. The verandah bar was also nice, however I just preferred to be around the pool. The pool was very inviting and as we had just missed school holidays, was not too busy. I had an amazing massage and Facial at the Spa with Sas and it was a relaxing haven. The setting of the hotel is beautiful, surrounded by rainforest and boardwalks that take you through the rainforest. I explored a little and loved the cute little meditation spot and lakeside area. I did do yoga on a few mornings and that was good, with lovely scenery. Such tranquility. Location - It does not take too long to get into town and the resort has a shuttle at certain times that will take you in and pick you up. I loved that we were still able to use all the facilities after checking out, whilst wait for our airport shuttle (our flight was not until late afternoon) The resort is quite expensive but definitely worth it! I did not want to go home! Looking forward to come back next year for my redo 30th (2020 doesn’t count) 😊
Beautiful and relaxing. Dining was inadequate.
The rooms are spacious and the beds are extremely comfortable, as are the cocktails, pre-dinner drinks lounges. Service was great with attentive locals and overseas backpackers from Spain and SouthAmerica. So nice to have great service. The restaurant food was disappointing with limited choice we all left hungry. Our husbands ordered the Lamb which included 2 4-5cm strips and was tough and the Gnocchi was an entree size. We are use to eating out in Sydney and the size of the meals here were inadequate at $48 per serve. My fish was not cooked through but they rectified this emmedtaely, I couldn't taste the fish due to the overpowering shell fish Bisque. It was a surprise to see they charged for bread too. I am aware of the Crystalbrook Collection ownership therefore I assume he can afford to provide adequate portions and prices in the restaurant. Pressure on the GM's during this tumultuous year to maintain profit is clearly paramount but having repeat clientele should be more important.
