Check your room allocation before booking
What a wonderful resort, recommended to us by friends who had stayed here. Despite paying a premium for a room with a view we were allocated a room with a sliver of a water view. To top that off when we raised our concerns the manager on duty was rude and unapologetic and refused to address the issue in any way saying they were booked out! What a disappointment given this was supposed to be a special event. Will not be back and certainly cannot recommend. Do not accept room 116 unless heavily discounted.
Beautiful Location, Terrible Service
We stayed for our birthday's for 4 days. The location of the property is beautiful. However the service is absolutely shocking. We asked for plates and cutlery in our room and the concierge told us they would charge us $5.00 if they bought it to our room or we could come and get it for free?? Never in my life has any hotel I have stayed at around the globe said this to me when making this request. Breakfast service was slow as was dinner. We couldnt get a drink anywhere as all the bars were closed including the pool bar during the day. When I called to ask some general questions about the property, no one knew anything and had to ask someone for assistance every time. My sister paid for a cheese platter on arrival for our room, it never arrived.
Resort worthy of a visit
We stayed in a loft room in Asquith House for 5 nights. We had a lovely view of the Marina and the room itself was spacious and clean & tidy. The bed was very comfortable. We had a lovely, quiet stay. Very relaxing. Staff were friendly and helpful. Spa was amazing - highly recommend. Had room service one night, expensive but delicious. Recommendations: - book in spa treatments when you book accommodation - we were lucky to have booked in a day at the spa and wouldn’t have got in if we ‘walked in’ - book in advance for restaurant. We only pre booked one night and it was the only night we could dine at the venue, they were otherwise booked out - go out for breakfast. It’s expensive and nothing flash at the hotel. - rooms only have a tiny, mini fridge so can only fit bare minimum in (e.g. were able to fit in a couple of cheeses and dips, some beers and one bottle of soda water). There was no cutlery etc in room so hard to be a bit self sufficient.
Great place to enjoy a short break
Everything passes the most testing eyes of the discerning. You could not knock back that sense of class and style, which frames your stay in a casual yet understated way. It was just marred by my check in and another encounter at the same desk. The front office seemed to want to downgrade my experience because I bought this package through Luxury Escapes, considering this stay as less worthy than others. Be wary of this discrimination if you book such a package. Everything else was great.
What a magnificent experience! From the minute I walked in, the greeting and treatment I received was exemplary. Thoughtful and personalised, genuine and warm. The accommodation is superb - gorgeous Hampton style with unparalleled views of the marina, ocean and beaches. Love the adult or children's pool - very thoughtful. The food - faultless, again top quality and terrific service. Spa Lucca - I understand the awards they have won - best massage if my life! I was there 4 days and I feel completely recouperated and refreshed - will absolutely go again.
