great location and harbour acces
large and comfortable room, but expensive and clumsy parking arrangements. Easy walk to harbour and Opera House, stunning views. Reception often unmanned. No minibar whih is disappoining for this class of Hotel.
Marvellous stay in a wonderful location
Stayed at the property for two nights. The location right in the centre of the Rocks within touching distance of the Harbour Bridge, Circular Quay and the Opera House. Within walking distance of all the big ticket Sydney attractions. Very comfortable rooms, friendly service and great views.
Fantastic Customer Service, great stay
Although the hotel was very quiet during COVID-19 the customer service we received was fantastic, super friendly and accommodating to our needs. We were placed in a nice room with good views of the Sydney and felt very taken care of. Would highly recommend to stay at this hotel. The location is so central with great coffee chops and cafes at it's doorstep with only a 5 minute walk to ferries, trams & trains.
Very friendly great location
Awesome hotel in a great location. The staff have been amazing with nothing too much trouble. Travelling with 2 kids we were able to get a twin room which was great for our family. There is a great pool and roof top bar with amazing views.
Ok Hotel in a Good Location
Having stayed in several Rydges hotels over the years. This one did not live up to the standard you usually expect from Rydges. Usually the rooms are fresh, well finished, spacious and always clean. This hotel is in desperate need of a makeover. The rooms are tiny and its obvious the furniture has seen many years of service. The beds were great as is expected from Rydges. I haven't seen a shower in a bath tub with a shower curtain in a very long time! Perhaps evident of the time warp this hotel finds itself in. Hotel services were also not as expected. The pokey little lobby bar was only open between 6-9pm, this means if you want a pre dinner drink before you go out, you have to go elsewhere. Just use the mini bar... No, there wasnt one! And although the website boasts 24hr room service, i was told there was no room service at 9:30pm. This may be because of a downturn in business due to Covid19, and hence an easing back of services, in which case i can understand that. If this was the case it wasn't common knowledge. Compared to say Rydges World Square, its chalk and cheese! This hotel could be so much better, it could be amazing. Its a shame its so.... forgotten by Rydges. I would stay here again, but it definitely wouldn't be my first choice.
