Great location and prices just right
Great location with harbour views. Roof top incredible spot for enjoying a swim, a hot tub, harbour views or just beverages. I highly recommend this hotel as the staff and location is all that one would love. Close to many places to eat, the harbour bride, opera house and so much more.
My favourite getaway for a Sydney staycation!
Amazing as always! This place is my favourite getaway! Spectacular roof top pool and spa with uninterrupted harbour views! Sensational location right in the heart of the rocks! Clean rooms and great service. Can’t wait to stay again!
my partner booked this as a surprise for our transit night on our way to lord Howe island. I was totally blown away by the location of this hotel & stunning rooftop pool & spa. the room was pokey & ensuite was small but suffice. this place is all about location! we were in the pool & spa at night - which was spectacular under the stars (highly recommend!) the hotel was located a block from all the iconic views & so many wonderful cafes & restaurants. the bed was comfy & quiet. staff were helpful & friendly.
Basic Room but Great Location !
We booked a double room. It was on the 7th floor and a bit dated, but had all the necessary amenities, TV, kettle etc. Bathrooms are a bit small for the price paid. The rooms were clean and comfortable for our first night in Sydney. Location was everything. Absolutely perfect. Close to everything, restaurants, bars, train station, sightseeing. We took the train in from the airport to Circular Quay and walked about 6 minutes to the hotel. It's perfect if you want to catch sunrise at the Opera house as it's a short 5 minute walk to the hotel. The hotel also has a terrace which is free access and open to guests until 10 PM. It has awesome views of the Opera house and Sydney harbour. We spent about half an hour up there. There is also a small Spa pool (fits 2 people) on the terrace with the city and the Opera house as the backdrop. The swimming pool was closed naturally as it was winter.
Great location, great staff, great price
This was the 2nd time I’ve stayed here. Yes the hotel it a bit dated, yes the bathrooms are small, BUT - if you want somewhere clean and comfortable to stay in circular quay without the hefty price tag this is the right place! It’s in a great spot, in the historic Rocks area. I’m pretty fussy with hotel rooms , but the location alone is enough to keep me coming back here. I certainly wouldn’t prioritise a bathroom that looks like something from a science fiction movie over convenience and heart-of-sydney experience. Modernity is not important here. Service and comfort is. The buffet breakfast is back on and perfectly adequate - all main tastes catered for. The little fireside bar in the lobby is great, very friendly staff and reasonable prices. The rooftop pool and spa are great too - wonderful views. Even if you don’t go in the pool (let’s face it it’s a bit cold now) it’s a wonderful spot to take a coffee and enjoy the beautiful glistening waters of the harbour. I cannot praise the staff enough. It is obvious that COVID has brought significant challenges to Sydney tourism. I had never seen the city so quiet and the hotel was far quieter than my last visit in 2019. It must be quite uncertain for staff but the courtesy, helpfulness and cheerfulness didn’t waver from anyone -bar staff, reception, breakfast wait staff. All great. I would not hesitate to stay here. If you want an ultra modern sleek hotel it may not be for you, but if you want a prime location with excellent service then make sure to book here. Looking forward to going back.
