Top dollar but not top hotel!
We recently stayed at the Adina Bondi beach. There are many pros like brilliant location, very lovely staff, nice pool area. The 2 bedroom apartment had good size bedrooms, 2 good bathrooms and a nice kitchen area. We also loved the security of the hotel and felt very safe here. The cons for me are the state of the room and some areas outside. While it’s actually quite a trendy hotel in many ways it’s really starting to look quite tired in parts. The chair coverings in our living were very stained and looked like they need professional cleaning. The sofa was a sofa bed and terribly uncomfortable to sit on and again looked dirty. I don’t understand the people who have written how clean their room was, maybe they were in a renovated room?! Our room looked like it needed a coat of paint on most of the walls, furniture to be prof cleaned and please just give the room a good scrub!! There was much that was good but when you pay top dollar to stay here in summer it would’ve been nice to feel like the room was worthy of it. Outside also is looking shabby and just needs a lick of paint. See photos. For the price Adina needs to lift their game here!! Not sure I’d stay here again.
Excellent accommodation and facilities. Very happy with the size of the room and cleanliness. Brilliant location. Close to beach and restaurants. Hotel staff very friendly. Definitely would stay again.
Lovely central aparthotel 10 mins from Bondi Beach. Facilities excellent, staff professional and efficient. Immaculatley clean and well presented throughout. Sadly weather awful but much needed rain. Used our time valuably by doing all our washing and drying in the in room facility. Outdoor pool small but nice. Anyone with a mobility issue would find it hard to enter and exit the pool. Highly recommended otherwise. Parking on site with easy hotel access. Small supermarket opposite for cosy in room dining. Lots of local bars and restaurants.
Modern but tired......
Checked in today to a two bedroom apartment. The hotel is in the heart of Bondi one block back from the beach. Surrounded by great looking cafes with a small supermarket over the road and a brilliant fresh produce market next door. Staff are friendly and accommodating. Sadly, having paid premium price to be at Bondi in the height of summer, it under-delivers. The rooms are of a modern design but are in need of some TLC. The living room is not set up for four people with a two seater and one armchair. Although it has to be said, the staff were quick to bring us another arm chair when requested. The sofa is a sofa bed and possibly the most uncomfortable sofa I have ever sat on; you know how you get roll together in beds? - well that's how this sofa is; two of us can't sit comfortably on it. So frankly, the living area is not that place to relax.Much of the paint work is very tired and to be honest, not particularly clean looking. Much of the upholstery needs a jolly good clean as it is just plain dirty. Kitchen size is as expected for an apartment with good size fridge/ freezer. Washing machine and dryer. A mini bar. Bathrooms are a good size. Very nice swimming pool looks welcoming and is off the lobby. Wifi is intermittent at best. I'm sorry, but overpriced for what it is.😢
Excellent location for the "Vibe""
Exceptionally well located hotel and short walk to beach. Friendly service, exceptionally clean rooms and well maintained swimming pool. Hard to find any faults. Will definitely stay again when visiting family in Bondi. I think probably better than the QT in terms of location, adjacent to many coffes shops, resaurants and fresh food.
