Good place to stay
We stayed here for 7 nights as a group of four. The resort is very nice, the rooms are beautiful and spacious. The pool needed to be cleaned more frequently - from the rain there was often lots of debris in the pool. The pool bar was also not open at predictable or desirable hours - we could overhear many guests complaining about this. Especially over New Year’s Eve / day I think many people were expecting to enjoy a few drinks by the pool! When you did order a drink, it took forever. We did not eat at a restaurant, as it was a very limited menu. Lots of kids around, so seems like a good place for families. Couples may want to say elsewhere. Overall, had a very nice stay.
lovely hotel stayed 8 nights. great pool for couples or families. Pool entry rooms are great. Need to bring you own food as so far away from shops. Pool bar only open limited hours needs to be open later. New Years eve dinner was lovely just very hard to book online
Christmas Day 2020
At $200 dollars per head, value is not there. This was served up for 3 people, ($600).Drinks included were limited to a bottle of Legacy wine per 2 people. A meal to remember for all the wrong reasons
Not worth the price tag
Unfortunately we found issues upon our stay in our 2 bedroom swim out apartment - we found the furniture to be very outdated, unclean and in desperate need of replacing. The lounge was uncomfortable and dirty and we found our bed and pillows to be almost unbearable to sleep on. I think we woke every single morning complaining of sore backs and shoulders. On our first day we went to use the pool outside of our apartment and there were 2 dirty bandaids sitting on our steps - there was also a child’s poo in the pool outside our apartment that sat there for most of the day. The breakfast options were incredibly limited and expensive so we left the resort each morning to find more options at a more reasonable cost. We were also very excited to have access to the Pool Bar but again found this was closed every time we went to grab a drink. We booked a resort as we had a young one and didn’t want to have to travel far for food and drinks but found ourselves doing this everyday anyway. Room service was not an option. All the staff were lovely and we couldn’t not fault the service but we do believe there needs to be some attention to detail with the cleanliness of the rooms and other facilities. We paid upwards to $4,000 for 6 nights and expected better.
We saved for months to be able to afford this holiday and booked 3 nights in a 2 bedroom apartment with plunge pool to spend our daughters birthday here and was disappointed in the accomodation, it did not meet our expectations. The first room had mould on blinds and in shower and behind bathroom door. Around every crevice around the doors there is a build up of dust and accumulated fluff. The aircon gave off a mouldy smell throughout the whole apartment. Spoke to reception and staff where very apologetic and changed our room and gave a complimentary cheese platter for the inconvenience which was a nice gesture. The second room was not much better. Same mouldy smell coming from aircon which set my allergies off. Considering this is a 5 star resort the apartments don’t meet the standards u would expect. Very outdated and in need of renovations and aircon ducts cleaned and sanitised. The plus side though is the customer service from all staff is excellent and the resort lagoon is lovely and the grounds well maintained, our private plunge pool was also lovely it’s just the apartments definitely need a makeover to meet the standards one would expect from a 5 star resort.
