Fantastic Resort with great service
This was my first stay at the Pullman Palm Cove and I enjoyed my stay very much. I was impressed with the level of service I experienced even prior to arriving, with all my questions/requests being answered promptly. On arrival we were greeted warmly and provided with lots of information about the resort and our rooms. A dinner reservation was also made for us during check in as we had arrived late due to flight delays. Due to my Accor Platinum status we were given fabulous upgrades which we greatly appreciated. We were blown away with the 2 x 2 bedroom apartments – one ground floor with a private pool and a lovely sail covered outdoor area with large table and chairs and poolside sun lounges. The other was on the 2nd floor overlooking the pool and garden which had a large balcony with day bed and table and chairs. Both apartments had large bedrooms with ensuites – the main had spa bath, separate shower and twin basins with the 2nd bedroom with shower and single vanity. Both had large kitchens and living areas. There was a lovely welcome gift with chocolate, lollies and wine waiting for us. Our first dinner was exceptional with outstanding food and service to match. My eye fillet was extremely tasty and everyone enjoyed their choices equally. The meals continued to impress and the service was always at a high level. Service continued to impress at breakfast with all the staff making us feel very welcome each day remembering our beverage preferences and making sure that they were delivered promptly. The breakfast was full service with fruit & yogurt, selection of pastries and hot breakfast with your choice of eggs. My one complaint or more just an observation would be that the menu for hot breakfast was exactly the same every day for the 8 days we stayed. A suggestion would be to perhaps have a change of hot breakfast option or a daily special– I have stayed at other resorts since Covid has prevented buffets where they do this and it is good to have a change when you are staying for a bit longer. The Pullmans has direct access to the beach via a pathway from the pool area. The resort is located just a short walk from the main part of Palm Cove either along the beach or a pathway located at the front of the resort. There was a Liquorland bottle shop close by where you could purchase alcohol and mixes. I had booked a number of Spa treatments prior to arriving including some special packages. All of my party enjoyed their treatments - the Spa Staff were all very cheerful and professional. My thanks goes out to the Spa manager for organising a special treatment package to suit my elderly mother – she was so happy to be able to have a treatment and enjoyed it immensely. The pool area was lovely with plenty of shade to be found. The lap pool was heated which was pleasant as it was still a little cool in the other pools. The other main pool was large and there was alos a spa and kids pool. The pool bar was open reduced days whilst we were there, but you were still able to order lunch and drinks to be delivered to the pool area. Once again the service was 5 star . The Reception staff were always happy to help with anything you needed and gave advice on local area and available tours. They made our bookings and also arranged our return trip to the airport. All in all our stay at the Pullmans Palm cove was wonderful and we were given VIP treatment all the time. The resort accommodation and facilities are 5 star. All the staff were friendly, professional and went out of their way to provide the best possible service. The rooms, pools and grounds were all kept very clean and well maintained. The resort was following all the Covid procedures which gave peace of mind to the elderly members of my group.
Quality Hotel in Palm Cove
Stayed 3 nights and was impressed by the rooms, the pools, the gardens and especially by the friendly service of all the team at Pullman Palm Cove. Special mention to Joy, Lisa and Ben in the F & B Team for consistent great service. We were impressed by the quality of our meals and the ambience of the Temple of Tastes Restaraunt. The resort is well located and an easy walk or bike ride to the main area of Palm Cove. Thank you to Craig, Fabrizio and the team for a wonderful stay and good memories.
No regard for guests
The TV didn't work on arrival..No clean of room for 2 days...Wouldnt answer phone..left messages that were ignored. Only 1 shampoo and very mean with supplies. Find elsewhere.. This is my advice. I'm pretty shocked as we booked on the strength of some good reviews. Huge mistake. Room was very small and pokey. Could hardly sit comfortably on the balcony.
Booked as comparatively well priced + exceeded expectation
Arrived very early and was met by friendly receptionist who was unlocking hotel - I happily offered to leave my bags and come back later. Craig was brilliant got me checked in and offered me a room straight away. Turns out Craig is the GM for this property. What a great example to his team. Up to the room which was great. My studio room spacious and overlooked the pool. Having stayed in Palm Cove several times I can honestly say I would choose the sea temple. I have noticed over the last few visits the continuous decline in the standard of accommodation such a pity as there must be an economic reason for this, however the place always appears busy. This property is well managed has a mix of owners residing on site and hotel accommodation that it operates on behalf. Superb to walk directly from the pool onto the beach turning right and discovering the beautiful beach walk to Clifton. I chatted a bit to the staff Lisa, Max the two guys on the bar all lovely and smiling. The lady on the desk fixed up my little maintenance issues with the room immediately. Will definitely visit again. Good to see that the senior team here were definitely on show.
Spoiled by Covid
This hotel is an amazing place and we looked forward to our week stay in August. The staff are still great with Ben and Maree in the restaurant at dinner and Lisa and Margaret for breakfast. Sadly the gourmet mediteranean breakfast is no more due to Covid. Now a limited menu is offered and brought to the table. Before we could make coffee and enoy it piping hot, but now it was only warm by the time it reached our table. I loved the omelettes before but no more. At dinner too it was so sanitized with no candles or pepper and salt or cutlery, thanks to Covid. In our room the fridge was bare apart from some milk and when we ordered water it came in small bottles only. Everywhere there were signs saying "feel together but stay apart". Sadly Covid spoiled our stay and not sure if we will return.
