We popped in twice to have their scones recommended by a lovely lady in Palm Cove Biked shop we weren’t disappointed they were delicious, lovely spot to stop & have a cuppa & scones. Unfortunately accommodation still not open hopefully not to far away, great to support the hotel through cafe
Gorgeous relaxing property
Stayed here for ten days and got exactly what I was looking for: a serene cabin in the jungle with exotic birds and wallabies galore. The property has two rock pools as well which makes you feel as if you are in a spa. The hotel staff helped me navigate several issues with my phone charger and were extremely accommodating and informative when it came to booking scuba and day trips, guiding me towards lesser known outfits which did not disappoint. The restaurant on site is also extraordinary.
Paradise in the rain forest
After touring Australia for four weeks this hotel was just what we needed. Bedrooms in the rain forest with the animals around us. Staff were fantastic and very friendly and helpful during a very stressful time of Covid19 shut down. They could not do enough to help us out even though they knew the hotel was being temporarily closed and they were losing their jobs until it opened again.
Overpriced and unclean
We recently stayed for a weekend here. Similar to the other "terrible" reviews, it is very overrated. The price was very expensive for the quality - similar to a cabin you'd find in a caravan park for $50 a night. The cleanliness - had dirty floors, mould throughout and cockaroaches. Service - we didn't get offered any concierge or information about the resort and its offerings. We seen other people be taken to their room and advised of activities at the resort. The location - is nice, close to beach and rainforest. There are similar types of accomodation in and around the Cairns area, that are exceptional and similar priced. I wouldnt recommend.
morning tea disappointment
We have stayed here before and attended lunches and dinners but this time it was a group of friends for morning tea. On a hot day even the fans did not do a good job but when we asked for tea we received English breakfast tea. The local tea Nerida is grown nearby and is a favourite of ours, so why not support the local businesses? The resort is fabulous and so is the landscaping in theme with the region. However the scones, jam and cream were delicious!
