We have stayed here many times, unfortunately this time was a little disappointing. Parking was unavailable & not advise until we checked in, the room was small & looked very old, toilet leaked when flushed. Breakfast was very limited from past stay's. Both pool area had leaves in & around them, when ask at pool bar for our complemently drink was told it would be refunded at checkout, when we checked out we were told at reception, that we should scanned the voucher at the time & there was nothing they could do.. staff were present but some needed a little customer service. The hotel is a great area, but needs updating.
Charged extra for using American Express - not advised. Booked through Booking.com and they don't charge extra. Asked for quiet room- heard noise from other rooms. No valet parking - had to park across the road. Car in sun and didn't appear to be any security. On the plus side plenty of hand sanitiser available. Staff were pleasant and friendly.
Rooms excellent but then.........hmmm disappointing
Had to wait almost 20 mins to check in as only a "trainee" at the desks and she didn't know how to operate the computer! We were lucky because some of the people behind us had to wait almost 35 mins to check in. We then went for a light lunch only to find the bar had run out of cider - and the Chicken Caesar salad was literally swimming in Caesar dressing and no sign of any croutons, anchovies or Parmesan cheese. We asked the waitress about both missing ingredients only to be told the there was a dusting of breadcrumbs to replace the croutons and cheese! At this stage we just gave up and if it had not been for Kaylie who was the meet and greet person, I think we would have gone back to reception and booked out! Having now read some of the recent reviews I can understand the comments about the overall cleanliness of certain areas especially the two pool areas and the walkway between these pools. I doubt if there has been any attention to the debris laying around everywhere (bottle tops, litter and not to mention the pine nuts and needles that look as if they have been lying around the walkway for months. The small pool hadn't been cleaned because of the debris on the bottom and the green carpets were again covered in debris and more bottle tops lying around the edges. The room was spacious and clean but the shower door would not close so the bathroom floor was flooded every time we had a shower. Would we go again, perhaps, but only on a Luxury Escape deal and would certainly check out the more recent reviews first. Summing up, let's hope Management take the time to read these reviews and get their act together to bring this Hotel up to the standard that one would expect from Rydges Group!
Checked in on the 30th of December 2020 as the little boy wanted to spend a long time at the park and the beach. Perfect location for families wishing a short break from daily routine but don't want to travel too far. Hotel staffs are very friendly, clean room and early check-in are available. Thank you! We had a fabulous last day of 2020, and we look forward to staying again in 2021.
We enjoyed our 1 night stay. The room was very clean and bed comfy. Pool area very nice, spent a couple of hours just swimming and chilling.Location is great, just a quick walk up to the strip, were there is lots of restaurants to pick from.Breakfast was enough variety. We parked in the Wilson carport across the road from hotel, were the hotel will give you a $15 over night parking voucher to put up on your dash,in car.we will be back
