There is no heated pool!
I had a staycation with my 2 children. The heated pool (which I researched online and verified on 2 sites) was either broken or non existent. One pool wasn’t even cleaned! There is no spa. The children and I had a freezing swim we found one outlet releasing Luke warm water, so there is some thing wrong there obviously. After that, as the air flow and Aircon is very poor our own towel never dried out completely. Interesting, as the hotels want you to save towels, water environment etc but you can’t properly hang a towel to dry it even if you wanted to in the room we stayed in. The washing machines are on the third floor, it is $6 each to wash and dry. They had a lunch time dessert buffet for kids. This would’ve been more suitable later in the day/evening if they truly wanted to cater for families. During the day you are out exploring Fremantle. Your evening meal (the food didn’t look very kid suitable) then dessert bar would’ve been more suitable. The plan I had to explore Fremantle during the day, come Back chill, swim, evening meal didn’t go to plan. We still had fun, personally I chose The Esplanade based on the pools being heated, so I could’ve chosen cheaper accommodation without pools and saved myself the money. Despite that the staff were helpful and buffet breakfast made the kids happy. I emailed Rydes during our stay via the online form and still today have no response (we checked out 3 days ago)
Lovely relaxing break
Had a couple of nights away over Easter. Beautiful spacious room with a spa. Nice and clean and a lovely view across the park. Its a great spot. We booked super early with a special and got a great rate. Staff are excellent, very welcoming. We could have stayed and chatted to the 2 ladies at Concierge all day, really friendly.
What can I say bit ACE. I booked this hotel through Luxury Escape at the last minute for my husband 65th birthday. Between Luxury Escape and the Hotel they made it a weekend to remember. My husband had seen this deal but I just ignored him. By the time I had all our friends to agree it was the last day of the deal. Hence I couldn't book it through Luxury Escape. Called the hotel directly was told by the reservation manager she had the rooms, would hold them and gave me a ref no for Luxury Escape. The 3 of us all got together to make this happen. Thank you very much to the staff at both operations and especially the staff at the hotel that went above and beyond to make this special for my husband and our party of 12. Would recommend this hotel who wants a getaway. Just down the road or from further afield. THANK YOU

We had initially booked for early February but had to re-schedule due the abrupt lockdown following a positive Covid test in Perth. Totally appreciate the co-operation of the hotel in allowing a very late change without penalty. Pleasant gracious staff encountered throughout, check-in efficient and quick, parking voucher and parking instructions clear. Comfortable room on the 3rd floor, bright and airy and overlooking the pool. Comfortable bed afforded a great nights sleep. Abundant toiletries in the bathroom, ditto with tea and coffee supplies. Fast checkout. Excellent breakfast selection and constantly replenished. Definitely looking forward to our next stay.
Mine and my partners 1 year anniversary
We enjoyed staying there. We got moved as soon as we had trouble with the air con in our room, the next room the air con was amazing. The bottom part of the hotel looked great...new, renoed, clean paint everything but the top didn't look as great with a few things like the paint was starting to flake etc. Also the bathtub/shower was too high for my partner to step over so i had to lift him over myself and the tub floor was wayy too slippy, they need to put something on the floor to help not slip over. Would stay again though
