DO NOT STAY AT CROWN. TIME LIMITS APPLY ON GAMING FLOOR.
Crown have introduced a new policy which is not told to you when you check in and isn't on show anywhere in the complex. This policy is from Responsible Service of Gambling. As soon as you enter the gaming floor, a 12 hour timer starts on you using facial recognition. Even if you go away shopping, eat at restaurants, go watch a show etc, your timer is still running. After 12 hours they will escort you off the gaming floor by force if necessary. (This was told to me by the security manager when I asked a few questions). I was told that I had a gambling problem because I questioned their policy. (For the record, I would go there maybe a once or twice every couple of months). Do not stay at Crown anymore if you are local. It is a waste of money if you can't do what you want. I was told that if you stay at the hotel, you must be away from the gambling floor for a period of 8 hours (12 hours if not staying at the Crown), before your timer restarts. Please let everyone know about this before you waste your money on accommodation at any hotel in the Crown Complex. BIG BROTHER IS ALWAYS WATCHING YOU....
A midweek stay for our anniversary and hubby’s birthday. Couldn’t fault the Crystal Club check in, the complimentary bubbles or the service in the Crystal Club. A fabulous little getaway at a time when we can’t travel outside of our State. Sadly the weather wasn’t conducive to outdoor activities but we still enjoyed the overall experience.
Enjoyed a great weekend at Crown Towers for my birthday. Had a beautiful meal at Modo Mio and got spoilt by the lovely staff. Our view of Optus Stadium and the Matagarup Bridge were amazing. Wandered over to the Camfield for an enjoyable lunch with friends.
Extremely disappointing. Not a 5 star hotel
After enjoying many Crown Towers stays in the past, my recent experience over the weekend was extremely disappointing and certainly not what I would've expected from a 5 star hotel. My partner booked a surprise weekend away for our anniversary and this is the experience we had: Upon check in at 3pm on Friday 15 October, we were advised that the room wasn't ready and were given 2 drink vouchers to redeem at TWR bar whilst we wait and we would be offered a late checkout of 12pm on Sunday (and we would receive a text message when the room was ready) By 5pm, we still hadn't received a text message regarding the room being ready so we followed up at concierge and the room was ready (yet we didn't receive a text) We made our way to the room (722) and upon arrival, the room hadn't been cleaned properly, toenails/finger nail clippings on the floor, used milk in the fridge and stains on the pillows. I called guest services to advise of our disappointment and that our bags weren't delivered to the room (this was at 5.30pm and we had a dinner reservation at Epicurean at 6pm) Bags were eventually delivered and I received a call back from the night manager who arranged for housekeeping to change the pillow cases. We were advised that there were no rooms to be moved to but we would receive an upgrade for Saturday night + free breakfast at Epicurean. On Saturday morning, these notes weren't added to our booking so we didn't receive a free breakfast and went to speak to the Duty Manager regarding the room upgrade which we were advised wasn't available. We were moved to another room which was at least appreciated and offered free breakfast at Epicurean would be added to our reservation for Sunday however after dining at one of Crown's restaurants on Saturday evening and experiencing food poisoning symptoms, we returned back home after a horrible experience. We are lucky to have access to a corporate rate for the room, however after a $2,000 weekend, this was terrible and I won't be returning. For a 5 star hotel, you need to look into the standards and service you provide.
Luxury standard of rooms, amenities, meals and service. Always enjoy are experience our Crown. Our group required 10 rooms and our booking experience was excellent. Crystal Club is a relaxing and beautiful way to enjoy the sunset.
