Visited El Questro for 5 nights, the sights around the park are beautiful. However, for what we paid for our stay the park is very overpriced. The camp sites are basically on top of each other and we were next to quite a noisy family during our entire stay. Limited number of toilets and showers, some days I had to come back later as I wasn’t able to get a free shower. Coffee shop food is quite bland and overpriced also.
El Questro Wilderness park
Overpriced unpowered camping site, toilets called daily at 7:30am where they are shut and you need to go to other amenities. This is ridiculous as this is usually when most people are getting up and need the amenities. You need your WA park pass plus you also paid $12.00 fee to El Questro for maintenance and upkeep of their roads. What a joke. Gorges beautiful but would advise not to stay at El Questro
All the rivers and gorges up here are beautiful, but this one has the added attraction of spitting Archer fish, who take aim at human faces! The boat has fish food for us to feed them, and they know it! The Kimberley is well worth a visit, but do try to do it in a smaller vehicle than the bigger tourist coaches, you will see more of the heart of the Kimberley
We staid for five days in the park. The facilities for camping are good. The toilets & showers were good. The walks and 4 WD tracks were excellent.
Caravan powered site
We booked for three nights on a powered site and felt the cost was extremely high for a site which was a dust bowl. You have to pay $22 each night for the site and $20 per person per night and another $20 for a week even if you are just staying one night. We went to the restaurant and my partner had steak and I ordered barramundi which never came! We had a bottle of overpriced wine, Evian water and two sides. They reassured me my meal was on the way and when we were getting up to leave she said it was ready. Needless to say I said I didn’t want it. I was charged for everything we had ordered except for the fish! Great public relations gang! Maybe you could have thrown in the wine or even the water but no full price for everything. Certainly would not recommend El Questro to anyone and will not be going back.
