Saturday morning Ikea on steroids
This place is geared for families with children. Nice beach, nice pool, safe surrounds. For a couple looking to get some quiet serenity forget it. Kids have a ball which is fine, the place resembles a huge creche. Amused that all the info says not to disturb the dolphins but loud hailers used on the beachfront seem at odds with that aim. The whole place is commercial.
Very nice resort
This is the only accommodation in Monkey Mia and it is a family friendly place. We stayed in a nice appointed and comfortable, clean Villa with beach views and within walking distance to the beach. We very much enjoyed our stay here and highly recommend it.
Beautiful park - wonderful staff.
My husband and I stayed at this resort for 3 days. We didn’t realise how far in from the main Highway the resort was but once we arrived we were very impressed by how spacious and clean the park was and that it was situated on the coastline. From arrival to departure, the staff had such a wonderful, happy and friendly attitude and were very helpful if you had any issues. Being able to interact with the dolphins was such a joy. We had a 1 bedroom unit with a beautiful view of the ocean but next time we go, we will pay the extra money to have a self contained unit. In saying that, the restaurant and the pub on site had amazing food and again, the staff were simply amazing. We did have an issue with the hot water in our unit which we advised the staff about.
Great facilities, big resort and very pet friendly
Stayed 4 nights on a powered caravan site midway down - good location, ablution block behind and in front of us with a great camp kitchen 1min walk away. We then moved to a beach front powered site and wished we had booked that for the other 4 days, it was so nice being a stone's throw from the beach - although the other site was only a 5min walk away. The amenities at this resort are very modern, clean and well maintained. We were travelling with our pet dog and we were able to dine at the pub and Boughshed Restaurant with her, making it very easy for us to enjoy the resort. The beaches are sheltered and great for swimming/fishing/walking along. The Dolphins are readily viewed all day long - especially around the jetty. Highly recommend staying at the resort, yes the price is more expensive than staying at Denham but being able to see the dolphins each day and having a lovely sheltered beach to relax/swim in was worth the difference.
Something for everyone
We enjoyed our stay. We stayed in a garden view room set back not far from the beach for 3 nights. There seems to be something there for every budget level. The place is huge, but seems very well run. We ate at the restaurant as well as the pub, restaurant food was very good, pub food was also good apart from the pizza that was horrible, more like half of litre of sauce on a base with a little topping added, wouldn't recommend. I can imagine some parts of the camp might get a bit rowdy at times, but overall the facilities are great and the dolphin show is a nice bonus.
