Ovolo fun and convenient

The room was clean and set up with free wifi and a iPad. The was a goodie bag with free chocolate, pretzels, chips , lollop and a bottle of wine. The water and soft drinks in the mini bar were also free. The bathroom was compact with a good sized shower. The only slightly annoying thing was the very small hand basin. The staff were all wonderful and friendly. There was also a free breakfast in the lobby and happy hour from 4-6pm with free wine.

Very friendly

Stayed here because it was close to the hospital where my father was so location for me was ideal. The staff were super friendly and during the whole lockdown thing they couldn't do enough for me. Made me feel welcome from the get go and always happy to have a chat. Would definitely recommend staying here and will be my go to place for the fee times I make it to the city.

Very clean, cumffy beds, staff amazing, could not fault my visit, close to a lot of hospitals, shops and cafes, parking very easy, and free mini park a plus, continual breakfast delicious, parks also close.

TOTALLY EXCEEDED ALL EXPECTATIONS

This has to be, without a doubt the funkiest and best hotel I’ve ever stayed in. This hotel group does it ALL soooo well. They are a stand -out from the rest in so many little ways, that when you add it all together……… gosh you’d never stop anywhere else!!! Firstly, the location is excellent on Little Bourke Street (between Lonsdale, Spring and Exhibition Streets) with all the theatres and restaurants close by. On arrival, we were met with the friendliest receptionist who made us feel they have been waiting for our arrival and perhaps we were running a little late. There is a personal interest in every guest from the time you step inside the front door. The décor is bright, and out of the lift on every floor you step into a design gallery of artwork that requires your full attention and appreciation of every piece. The huge jars of help – yourself sweets in the foyer were wonderful and made me feel like a kid in a candy shop. My partner’s eyes lighting up at the 24/7 help yourself Nespresso machine. The room was really comfortable with minimalist décor but lots of toys, Apple TV, Amazon Alexa and an i-pad. The bed was hugely comfortable, with plenty of storage space and robes/slippers. The welcome bag of munchies was outstanding, along with a full complimentary mini bar of wine, sparkling and soft that was replenished daily. The bathroom was tiny but adequate with loads of linen and toiletries. Looking inside other rooms on our way out the layout of each room here is quite different. Breakfast in the small reception area was a stand out. The very best pastries, bread, charcuterie, cheeses, yogurt, fruit salad, nuts, fresh juices and of course T2 and Nespresso coffees. You are encouraged to take a tray, load it up and head back to your room. There wasn’t a thing we could complain about even to being allowed to stay a little longer in our room at checkout. Every request was met with a “can do” and we were given the best recommendations for dining throughout our stay from the ever- cheerful receptionists. The evening happy hour with champagne, wine or soft prior to dinner was also a huge hit and replenishment happened without ever having to ask. This hotel has nailed it in every way with everything they offer, and I would thoroughly recommend Ovolo to anyone wanting to stay in the best location, amongst the friendliest and most professional staff I have ever met at any hotel.

First Class!

We had a friendly greeting when checking into this hotel for three nights and had a beautiful one-bedroom room. Because we booked directly, we had several freebies which we enjoyed! Their grab and go breakfast enabled us to take our food back to the room and eat it quietly there. Our rooms were spotless and very comfortable. After touring the Great Ocean Road, we returned to the Ovolo and stayed again for one night. We were treated royally by Laura, Shannon, a tall friendly man with great personality, and a lady with short dark hair. Car service to the airport was organized for us.
