Faulty lights ruined our stay
Waiting 45 mins to check in and 30 mins to check out we thought was bad enough....but oh no. Having the bathroom lights in your room switch on randomly throughout the night certainly made the stay a mistake. After 2 days of checking the lights by maintenance it was still not resolved. In the end we just asked they remove the light bulbs so we could get a decent nights sleep. Customer service was poor.
Family night in the city.
My husband and our two teenage daughters had a fantastic stay at Crown Towers. We stayed in a twin room that was clean and perfect for what we needed. We received a great package that included parking, breakfast and a bottle of wine and was excellent value for money. All of the staff that we encountered were friendly and helpful - we could not fault the service we received. We will definitely stay again.
After many years with my beautiful partner we finally decided to tie the knot and we thought where better than Crown Towers a place that already shares many fond memories. I couldn't of ask for a better experience at Crown for my Wedding and I owe it all to Mr. Roy Bresler and his outstanding team. He went above and beyond with his services to help organise that special day by always staying in contact and guided me all the way. Roy was very professional, very helpful with lots of ideas, very understanding and supportive. I can't talk highly enough about him as he made the overall experience unforgettable. There's no words that can express how thankful me and my family are for Crown Towers, Staff and Roy thank you guys for everything and we look forward to our next stay. Many Thanks
Priced at a premium but staying in budget
Crown is an exceptional place to stay if it's purely out of convenience but it's not worth the big bucks you pay for. The rooms are less than average but are priced quite high. Overall, it was a good stay and has everything you need at the foot of your door.
Stay elsewhere, terribly disappointing for the price you pay
Based on our experience this hotel is not a 5 star anymore and impacted my 7 year anniversary with my wife. This was our first night away since the birth of our daughter and I chose Crown Towers for it's perceived high standards in service and quality. Paying $400+ for a room you expect a high level of service given the current price point in the market. We experienced broken promises, poor service and below standard across the board. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. Checkin - arrived at 3pm to enjoy the hotels amenities. Queue was out the door and moving slowly, after 10 minutes we decided we didn't want to wait any longer and impact our special night away. Arrived back at 830pm to checkin and during the process we were told that we had two options for breakfast 730 or 815... I received 3 emails and spoke to reservations 3 times to make this a special night, at no point was the requirement to book in breakfast noted. Checkin staff member offered us $50 F&B credit to apologise and was able to get us in at 930 sitting for breakfast. The credit was never applied to our account. Room - Was told that we would have chocolates and bubbles up to the room to congratulate us for our anniversary. This was not in the room. Room was only allocated at checkin and I watched our bags being taken up to the room late. On arrival at the room, no bubbles or chocolates. We went out and returned at 10pm and discovered that they still weren't there. No congratulations note from the concierge/guest services. Called the Duty Manager on Sunday 11/04 who was helpful and understood the concerns. Promise from reception was not on the account, promise of bubbles not on the account. Terrible checkin and then terrible service. Breakfast - Queued again for 20minutes to be seated. After having sat down and waited 20mins for coffee we were told that the breakfast buffet was closing soon. Again, terrible. Food was sub par, selection poor, no egg station!? Price point for this type of service far too high. Reservations - was offered the wrong corporate rates for a different company. Overall - Staying at Crown was the worst experience, the price point is all wrong. At $400 a night people expect service and quality. You are offering sub par service, poor breakfast and overall a terrible experience. The excuse of COVID is not sufficient here as you understand all the elements of this business. You have dealt with busy periods before and have forgotten that guests expect service and quality. This was a terrible waste of money and with new entrants into the 5 start market in Melbourne I will be staying with them in the future. Pictures of queues uploaded.
