Trayon 2021 road trip
We had a sight with a view . What an zing place . The walks and views wherever you go. Facilities and service were excellent. We have been travelling Australia wide and the cleanliness of all areas was 5 out of 5. We were referred there and we we will continue to tell others about Rawnsley. Thank you
Eco villa stay
It was a pleasant surprise walking into the villa. The view from everywhere inside was stunning. There was a complimentary beautiful red wine, local olive oil, dukkah and focaccia to try. Delicious! The breakfast provisions were generous and very welcome. The Woolshed restaurant is very busy so book well ahead of your visit. The tours also get booked out. We had a fantastic 45 minute scenic flight with Andrew at Chinta Air. He’s very knowledgeable on the local area and the trip went quickly though a little bumpy at times. I did shop ahead of our arrival and I took bottled water for 4 days and provisions to cook 2 dinners. We enjoyed our 4 night stay and are very happy to recommend these lovely villas.
Camp site with a view
We were lucky to park our camper trailer on an elevated powered site and were rewarded with magnificent views of Rawnsley Bluff. The facilities were great and we even enjoyed a cooling dip in the swimming pool. Dinner at the Woolshed Restaurant was delicious and walk up to Rawnsley Bluff hard but worth the effort. We highly recommend staying here.
Reasonable luxury stay by considering location
We booked two nights at eco-villa. The environment is beautiful and facilities are reasonably good by considering the location. The website didn’t show any breakfast included for the price we paid, and asked for extra $30 plus per head for continental breakfast. We didn’t order the breakfast as my partner is muslin. The day before our arrival, I was confirming the kitchen facilities via email and staff revealed that our booking actually includes continental breakfast provision. We were lucky we didn’t order breakfast when I made the booking, otherwise we will get charged extra $30 plus per head for one croissant, two pieces of bread and two eggs. The owner should consider better pest control for the villa. The mosquitoes were everywhere within the villa and we got loads of bites over two nights. Pillows are way too soft. Owner should consider provide better pillows for so called luxury stay and the price charged.
Good accommodation in the outback
We stayed in a cabin for 2 nights. The cabin was large with a comfortable bed and good facilities, including air conditioning. Each cabin has a large front balcony. Tank water is supplied in a separate tap near the sink. There are clean gas BBQs available. The only issue is that all the roads on the station are dusty which can coat the balcony with dust due to traffic. Some suitable road base material would reduce this problem. The restaurant food, while expensive, is excellent. Helicopter flights are available on the station. Overall we were happy with the accommodation.
