Efficient modern hotel downtown, close to the main attractions.
LOCATION: Downtown, a few minutes walking from pedestrian Jaffa Street and 10 minutes from Jaffa Gate, the entry to the Old Town. The Jerusalem Police HQ are around the corner - not that you would ever need them, Jerusalem is very safe. Sheruts stop nearby and on Jaffa street you can take a tramway. PREMISES: new and modern structure, efficiently organized. SERVICE: front desk staff is very friendly and helpful. BREAKFAST: very good choice of products to cater for different tastes; service (for coffee and eggs) is friendly but on the slow side. ROOM: spacious, clean, efficient, with a decent bathroom; everything was in good working order. However, the rooms facing the street are pretty noisy: for some reason, the noise insulation is not great and that is especially problematic late at night and very early in the morning (for instance when there are tour busses leaving the hotel early). WiFi: reliable and fast in the room and all common places OVERALL: efficient modern hotel downtown, close to the main attractions, good value for money.
Jerusalem very nice place, great staff, great location.

Nice hotel but very small rooms
I stayed at the Leonardo Boutique for 5 nights back in December. This was my first time every staying at this property, and in previous visits to Jerusalem I’ve stayed at The Waldorf Astoria, King David, and the Inbal. The hotel was nice, and it was clean. My only complaint is the size of the rooms/bathrooms. The room is very small and cramped and it makes it challenging finding a place to put all of your belongings. I was staying in Israel for a few weeks, so I did have a lot of stuff with me...however, I’ve never had trouble being able to find places to store my luggage and to be able to open my suitcase. The other odd setup is in the bathroom. There really isn’t very much room to keep your toiletries out. Overall, my stay was fine and I feel that this is a fine hotel for business trips. I wouldn’t stay here on vacation.
Nice hotel. Great location
In pricey Jerusalem this hotel was a nice surprise. Small boutique hotel close to attractions and restaurants. Very helpful staff. Excellent breakfast and well maintained. Very good value for the money.
Okay but not great
We stayed for 2 nights during the weekend and I have to stay - this hotel pays no attention to detail. First, we received a claustrophobic room on the lobby floor that had blocked windows and felt like a basement. We quickly returned to the front desk and thankfully they changed our room and gave us one on the 2nd floor. They had to re-make the bed because we wanted a king bed but unfortunately they put the sheets inside out and the room was not completely clean with water marks on the sink and quite a bit of dust. Afterwards we called the front desk to ask for wine glasses but we never received them and then when going out, they asked us if we got them - we said no but when we returned to our room there were still no glasses. While the overall design of this hotel is beautiful and the atmosphere is quite cosy, there were noticeable details that simply went unnoticed. There's a nice coffee and tea station with cookies available at all times and the breakfast had great variety but I wouldn't recommend this hotel.
