Amazing and beautiful hotel
One of the most beautiful location on earth. Beautiful and luxury hotel. View from 7th floor is unbelievable.. Breakfast is very good. Spa is very relaxing and quiet.. good value for money.. Hotel beach is beautiful!
In such a sensitive and special time, when the tiny creature, changing world orders, even a short vacation in the confines of your homeland, is a refreshing change. Let's start with the good topics. The room, although it seems that some refreshments will not harm it, is exactly what we asked for, High floor, last in the hallway, no noise of families and children running around. The dining room, despite the strict limitations of the covid 19, serves food, at a level that is above average, and according to the strict instructions of the period. The beach, clean and tidy, spacious, and even there, there is excessive adherence to health regulations. Although the SPA is not active, the excellent staff continues to give individual treatments, which include a variety of massages, according to the health restrictions of the period. And now, for the less good subjects ... some of them are just below any criticism. Parking ... In a hotel with such a binding name, we would expect a tidy parking lot, with staff to guide you, Available space ..... Parking only outside, in temperatures that reach 40 degrees Celsius, without a staff member to supervise the parking ... Everyone parks where they want. No one cares to move cars that block the road .... and worst of all, you can drive around for long minutes, with the car, Until you find, a vacancy. The pool ... hundreds of people who do not follow the instructions of the period. No spaces between the bathers ... no masks .... because no one forces it on them! The service ... the check in and check out from the hotel ... the reception of the room .... everything is slow, cumbersome, And inefficient. The service is so poor, manifested on the day of our departure. A substitute receptionist, who was waiting for the receptionist of the shift, answered us with impudence and impatience, and when the receptionist arrived, she angrily left, slamming the front door of the office after her, angrily. It seems to us that the hotel is unable to cope, with the congestion of holidaymakers (which is also standard in August), who can not fly abroad, and stay within the borders of his homeland. Mixed emotions.
Awful hotel, unpleasant stuff, doesn't worth the money
We arrived after long 3 hours drive, our vacation supposed to be 4 nights celebration birthday. The reception desk lady (Marina) was unpleasant rude asked for payment without telling us anything about the hotel and about the room options for us. We payed for junior suite room. The room we received was in bad shape, and doesn't worth the 2000$ we payed for it. We tried several times to call front desk but was no answer. Very bad choise for us :(
Not as we expected
Herods hotel is a 5 star one that his tag price is one of the highest in the area, i can't say that i was fully disappointed but there where things that i think are really important to all guests who visiting this kind of tag price hotels. On the positive side: the food is great, really is! So fresh and varied non the less its tasty as hell. The hotel has a Separate beach and during the check in we recived from the hotel a bag of the dead sea mudas a gift. The workers are super nice. But on the negetive side: Rooms are old and the bathroom door can't be locked or fully closed due to the fact its a wheel door that in its fully closing he has a wide gap from the door frame - Uncomfortable If you need some private time for your self using the toilet. The hotel is durty, no matter where we turned we nuticed that cleaning is in its down side, again not as expected from a 5 star hotel! Or as expected from a hotel Cleaning procedures in a covid-19 period. We stayed on the 4th floor and the air smelled of mold. Room service is unavailable by phone - we tried about 7 times till we finally gave up and went down to reception desk. I don't think i will visit here again - Herods competetors are offering the same and even better for less money. Value for money - 6/10
This could be an amazing hotel. First the good points - The staff are very friendly the place is clean and the rooms are all facing the dead sea, it has a private beach and if you want you can book a room with a semi-private pool. The dining room was very organized in terms of staff serving you. they all wore masks and gloves. (though the tables were a little too close to each other) Now for the not so good points - There is not enough staff to enforce regulations we were unfortunate enough to be at the pool next to a few families who do not respect others. There is no smoking at the pool and you are not allowed to bring glass bottles to the pool area as they could break but we only saw one person the entire day going around to talk to ppl who were smoking. There was no one in the hotel telling ppl who were not wearing masks to put them on, for those of us who were always wearing them it was difficult to understand. We also had massages booked i had a reflexology massage and it was extremely disappointing, to say the least when you pay so much for something you expect good service not someone who does a half-assed job .
