Another superb stay
Myself and my husband had another dreamy few days here. The staff are superb dn so charming, the bedrooms so comfortable and the curries are exquisite made by a very special, local chef who is famous for his spice blending. I think we will make this a regular trip as it is a great escape in February from the UK winter.
Relaxing Location, Beautiful Views and Excellent Lodge
We stayed for three nights at Tiger Tops and it was a brilliant experience. The lodge is comfortable and reflects the area. By this I mean that it's more than the standard hotel which you can find in most places. The view from our room was amazing and the support from Marcus and his staff was exceptional. The food was great - 'real' food which has not been processed to such a degree that it's origins are barely recognisable! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would happily return.
Shangrila Does Exist!
Breathtaking views nestled in the hilltops with direct sight of the stunning Annapurna Range. The location and natural beauty is undeniable which is then amplified 10 fold with excellent service coupled with scrumptious Nepali food (be brave it's divine) and homely rooms nestled in the hilltops. But what defines this lodge is the personal care and attention- Marcus and his team- truly make this place the last Shangrila. Magical.
My boyfriend and i stayed at Tiger mountain lodge for 2 nights in Jan 2020 and we were so impressed with the service and the lodge. I find some of the previous reviews on Tripadvisor unjustifiable and i could not find any fault during our stay. Stunning view of Annapurna range, tasty food and exceptional service- Mana from the reservation team was super helpful and reliable; property staff were very attentive , helpful , proactive and served us with sincere smiles; Marcus the owner, was approachable and open to talk to guests- made our stay enjoyable! The lodge may not be the typical luxury villas or lodges you can find in europe and north america but you can feel the whole team there is doing its best to support sustainable tourism and provide the best experience to its guests. The stay cost definitely is on the high end per nepal travel standard but we find the moments we spent with the team there worth every penny. Thank you for the team and we hope to come back soon with our friends and family (thanks for the care given to my boyfriend when he was sick!)
We spent 2 night at this hotel. We were expecting an amazing hotel and we were disappointed. The location is nice, close to Pokhara and has amazing views of the Fish Tail Mountain and Anapurna. The hotel is quite old and outdated, the rooms are nothing special. The restaurant and comune living room is small, they have also a small bar. The bar is not very well stocked, and the food is preset menu. We were there for NyE, we had a small cocktail before dinner, then dinner. They didn’t do anything special for us. One of the main issues is that there is no heating(only some electric small heater). I was not expecting to freeze in my room and to get sick going in the bathroom in the morning. If you cant offer heating, i think they should be close in the winter. There is no laundry service(they tell you that they wash only by hand, which i dont believe and they dry it naturally under the sun), no wifi in the rooms, no signal at your phone. Some slowly wifi in the bar. And believe me strangely Nepal has good internet. There is no spa, no gym, massage only in your room but its way to cold to have one. The service was good, but again for a 4*. This hotel is way overpriced and overrated.
