Lovely Private Pool Villas
If you're looking for a relaxing desert escape look no farther. We stayed at a tented villa and it was one of the best private pool setups I've ever seen - completely private and peaceful. The tents/rooms were luxurious and massive and very comfortable. We had room service both nights because it was so nice just to sit out by the pool and eat and watch the stars. Highly recommend the spa rainforest experience as well - great to do in the middle of the day when it's too hot to be outside. All the villas provide bikes as well, and there are tons of paths to ride and explore the grounds on - we saw plenty of camels, goats, oryx and birds.
Ritz carlton al wadi
I've visited al Ritz for about 4 times now, it honestly a wonderful experience, extremely wonderful staff, specially at the kahela restaurant for breakfast. Feels like home, Definitely recommend, amazing vibes 👍🏻💕
Recently stayed in this hotel for a weekend. The room was spacious and luxurious. Service was top class and setting was beautiful. Breakfast was served in the room and was very tasty. The falcon/eagle show was well worth visiting and watching the birds up close. Would recommend the rain forest experience in the spa. Well worth the visit and would recommend.
Missing the momo on the need to be hospitable in the industry of hospitality
The hotel grounds and rooms are stunning but thats about it. The service is average at best, which is disappointing, as when booking a property of this luxury and price point you expect the staff to be welcoming and to try and go above and beyond.. nope none of that. We booked for our mini-moon weekend, we called and told them it was a special occasion and if there's anything they could to do to make it extra special, they robotocly responded that for a cost (a significant cost) they could organize a cake and rose petals.. we obviously declined. At check-in we again mentioned that its a special occasion, I kid you not that not only did they offer zero gesture of anything, the gentlemen at check-in didn't even utter the words congratulations and just robotcoly said you've already booked a good room. That't it. Can we have late check-out? No. Can we have breakfast in the room? No. Everything was met with a "No". Not even a "let me try ill see what i can do".. nope just a "No". I have to highlight here that when we've already committed to booking a property at this price point, we definitely weren't looking for a freebi, but it was the principle of this total lack of hospitality or effort. We ended up giving the manager some constrictive criticism on this, she was dry and totally uninterested but did send a small cake and fruit basket, which would have been more than enough of a gesture had it not come after two mentions and a complaint which totally defeated the purpose. We were considering extending a night, but due to the overall disappointing beginning we decided it wasn't worth the money (especially when we tried the food and that was also below average). We instead continued on to a hotel in Dubai, and the stark difference in experience was proof that our reservations about the Ritz Al Wadi were definitely warranted. The next hotel we went to was a lower price point and standard of luxury, but the great service and warm and welcoming staff made our experience. At that hotel we did extend a night.. In summary, the Ritz Al Wadi is a 5 star property, with 4 star food, and 3 star service. All in all not worth the money and missing the momo on the need to be hospitable in the industry of hospitality.
