Chalets set in beautiful gardens with background of colourful mountains
Our travel agent booked this accommodation for us. Was in a lovely setting with the colourful mountains and the huge cactus plants in front of each chalet. When we arrived, the room was very hot, only had an old fan. We could open the windows which had fly screens. The room was large enough as we were only there one night. The pool area was lovely. The staff there were very friendly and gave us cup of tea, no English. We enjoyed a dinner in the dining room which had a lovely decor. Only had a limited breakfast and no cooked food. Very friendly staff but limited English.
Friendly rustic environment with comfortable rooms.
Pleasant gardens and semi-detached chalets contribute to a relaxed environment. The chalets are reasonably spacious, with bedroom, shower room, sitting room, lockable safe, and kitchen/diner. Free WiFi. Tasty evening meal and ample breakfast. Not much English spoken, but staff are welcoming and responsive.
Great place to stay
Nice place just a bit out of town but walkable, not lit at night so take a torch. Pleasant Spanish speaking staff. Rooms clean but no air con and ceiling fan a little noisy. They have a laundry service for next day, great if you are travelling, but watch some costs per article and say if you do not want things pressed. Restaurant very reasonable, recommend llama and local white wine. Do not book room 207, ground floor no real view as windows need to keep blinds down due to no AC. Good pool that’s heated.
Highly recommended, comfortable base sation for several days visit of beautiful area
Very nice cabin like rooms, each in semi-detached little house, with comfortable sitting room and bedroom with good 2 person bed. Shower and bath are OK. Very good restaurant for dinner and breakfast in main building. No lunch service; not needed, because the Cierro of multicoloured mountains, the Gran Salinas ( the great Salt planes) , Purmamarca village ( its lively centre square is within 10 minutes walking distance) and the Quebrada (valley) de Huamuaca ( and this city itself ) keep you away from hotel from morning to late afternoon. The terrace and the (heated) pool facilitate and provide for relaxation and lounging after the day trips. The nice garden nad well kept grounds are noteworthy in this rspect. This hotel is very well located ( at former piece of provincial road for which a stretch of bypass road has been created) and with magnificent views on the surrounding multi-coloured mountains. Purmamarca is a lively village, reminiscent of San Pedro de Atacama before it boomed into its present size and touristic highpoint. Highly recommended for singles and couples with or without children for one or several nights stay in this very beautiful area.
I loved the setting of this hotel,in the heart of the rainbow mountains.I had a balcony overlooking the mountains and the beautiful gardens. It was a shame the weather was too poor to use the pool.It was about a 25 minute walk to town, uphill on the way back but it was a lovely walk.Although the reception staff spoke little English, was very helpful finding out why my pick up from hotel was delayed.
